Steelers are an average team

Ben and the Defense is the only thing that got us to 11-0 last year.
The line is terrible
Claypool is overrated, he can't high point the ball or make a contested catch.
Johnson can't ever run the proper route or even catch the ball consistently.
Ebron has always sucked
The run game still sucks, Harris may be a decent back on a better team but I'm starting to think he's nothing special, there was a reason he couldn't take the lead back role from Josh Jacobs or Damien Harris at Alabama.
Atleast Freiermuth was a good draft pick?

That's inaccurate
Okay let me re-phrase....Time to fid a new QB....Our QB has looked like a slow & old almost 40, bottom tier QB for 21 games now....

Also inaccurate.
32 TDs, 10 ints last year and thats with a horrible OL and 5 different RBs. Good enough for top 10 in the league last year.

I get what you're saying, but I don't know where or why you came up with 21 games...Ben was very good or outstanding in 8 of the first 9 contests last year. You'd be much more accurate to use his last 9 games, in which he's registered a passer rating above 90 only once, and twice been in the 60s.

My eye test tells me otherwise & that he’s done…I love him too bro…But he is not what you need at QB in today’s NFL…

Okorafor is a bad fit at RT. You want a road grader at that spot, not someone who gets blown up by a 250 lbs defender.

Also, I half expected to see Ben announce his retirement after the game. We're only two games into this young season, he's already spending most of his time huffing, puffing, groaning, moaning, wincing after bad throws, shaking his head, walking off the field... just terrible body language all around. Really makes him seem even older than he is, if that's even possible. I have nothing but love for Ben, but here we are in mid September, and it's already feeling like we're exactly where we were at the tail end of last season.

What do you want Ben to do about a terrible OL?
Okorafor was run through every other play it seems and he has one of the most important positions on the offense.
Not to mention a rookie starting LT and rookie C. All very key areas for a successful offense.

Ben may not be 2013 Ben but he still can get it done. Hell Tom Brady couldn’t achieve with this oline. I also believe Tomlin is in charge of the offense and no matter who we have as coordinator it’s the same blueprint

Banner is a big part of their plans, but can never see the field.

I think the Steelers sincerely thought having an athletic power back like Harris running behind explosively strong people-movers like Banner, Dotson and Green would improve the running game enough to take pressure off of Ben.

It hasn't worked out for various reasons.

They took a gamble banking on Banner coming back from the knee injury and a rookie center.

Green is going to be a good one, I think, but he's not there yet. Same with Moore.
Banner was a risk, even if he was healthy. Dotson has been underwhelming and all rookie centers will go through growing pains. They still trusted Okorafor on the line, who was their worst lineman last year, at the most important position. By the time this line starts to develop, unless they invest heavily next offseason, Harris could potentially be halfway done with his career in Pittsburgh.

Get the run game working even if only to a 50% success rate and you will see a different BEN. It's just getting to the 50% that's hard for this organization.

Salute the nation
And yet a guy like Mitchell Schwartz still sits, available, as a free agent.

Since beginning of last year, we have TERRIBLE first halves consistently...Ben has been at the helm during that period...He's still doing nothing in the first halves...It's been and is still, the same story over, & over, & over here for the last 20 games....We're kidding ourselves, our Beloved Ben is done...He's shown nothing for basically 20 games...

We need our next QB like now

His excuse for a lousy first half at Buffalo was that he had "the jitters", and that he missed some passes he doesnt like to miss. HUH???
A 17 year pro still getting the jitters. Interesting.

The jitters aint gonna fly 2 weeks in a row so he had to come clean this week:

“I just need to be better,” the 39-year-old said. “Right now my play is just not good enough. If I played better, we would have had a chance to win the football game.”

“It’s frustrating because I put a lot of time in, more than I probably ever have,” he said. “I have to get it figured out though, because I am frustrated that I’m not playing well enough.

Marsha said that he'll know when it's time to retire when he starts to suck. Take his advice Ben.

When the D players are healthy I think that is enough to keep them in competition for the division title. I think that is in the realm of can happen. I don't put stock on anything past that. The Oline will have to morph into something other than the weak link for that to come about.
Is there ANY CHANCE Banter Upgrades our Oline when/if he is available?

Ever? I seem to see DJ catch a lot of balls this year and not drop them. Yes he ran some wrong routes but damn man but it is better to suck early than late we found that out last year.

Sure he is if nothing else a better run blocker than Chuks. Not sure where his pass blocking is. My preference is they go out and get the GB T that is still on the market. No need to play around with Ben's last season. Get him some help yesterday.

How is Ben putting more time in than he ever has, when he's still taking Wednesdays off?

There is no super bowl in sight. Definitely not in the next 5 years. Will they continue on with the Mike Tomlin experiment. There is no way that this team sniffs a super bowl anytime soon. This has to be Ben's last year, if he is not carried off the field this year. Mason Rudolph would have to turn out to be an elite QB for the Steelers to have a chance to appear in a super bowl within the next 5 years. The Steelers have a lot of problems.

It is absolutely mind boggling the distain Ben receives. Last year off major surgery until the team stopped playing won what eleven games. The line stunk no running game and receivers that loved themselves so much they forgot to catch the ball. This year brand new improved offense but still same problems. Love the Ben quotes as he does as always blames himself as a complete coaching staff and 52 other players keep their lips together. What else does he have to do. knocked around ten times last week and not one lineman was on the ground or still blocking anything or anyone. Buffalo game once more no blocking no running game and receivers that could not get away from our mothers, then throw in a new offense that receivers have no clue of I would have had jitters as well

Gotta agree with what you said. Except Green is a fiery guy, and I think he’s gonna be just fine. Also, seems Moore has done alright, all things considered.
