Steelers @ Atlanta Game Thread

If you want to see what a good team does to a bad team look at Cincinnati / Cleveland 30 to nothing. Steelers against a **** team at least they won no touchdowns Ben. Thank goodness the defense scored seven points and got a 4th quarter stop.

Really? You're going to compare a team that's starting a rookie QB for the first time, to a team that has a top 5 offense? They might have been missing Julio, but they still have weapons in White, Hester, and Douglas. And Matt Ryan is MUCH better than ANY QB Cleveland has marched out in the last 20 years. Sorry, no comparison.

the true difference in this game: Turnovers - Steelers 0 - Falcons 1

Well Big Ben just joined the 31 club....He has beat every team in the league.....except the Steelers of course.

The defense stepped up on that last series, hard tackles and ball thrown underneath. I for one did not miss Taylor at all.

Just thinking here....if we win next week and Denver wins today....does that at least clinch us a wild card?

Who? ... Maybe as a third or fourth CB he wont be as bad. We will never knows\...when he is healthy they start him..LeBeau's way.

yes... Indy cannot get into a 3 way with us. we win any 10-6 scenario with multiple teams as long as we beat KC

I honestly do not understand the game plan at all. What's the deal with all these 2 and 3 TE sets against the league's worst pass defense?

I'm still steamed over this; dead last in the league but 8th against the rush. The coaches did a poor job game planning. With the high possibility that this game may have been a complete shoot out, we should have come out slinging it. You MUST take advantage of the MANY mismatches and just keep eating up chunks of yards through the air. Once they're respecting our aerial attack, hand it off to Bell a play here and there. They are just flat out oblivious and once again try to force their will as opposed to taking what the defense gives them.....exactly what most offenses do against our D. WTF

Just checking KC's defense and they're the opposite on D; second to last rushing D and 2nd in pass defense. Watch the Steelers come out next week trying to air it

Awesome to hear this. Sorry missed the game. Dang it.. oh well should be off next Sunday.. GO STEELERS!!!!!

We had 20 rushing plays and 35 passing plays. Ben had more completions than we had running plays. We've only had 2 games this year with fewer rushes. Doesn't seem like they over committed to the run this game. I didn't look to see what our normal ratio might be, though.

They were stacking the line....some would argue we stuck with the run to long.

I'm just not sure it was so over the top to be egregious. How many fewer runs would have made it the "right" amount. "Right" isn't the correct word, but you can get my meaning. I don't think running it much fewer than 20 times when you have a back like Bell makes any sense, at all.

It helped make them over commit to stopping the run. We have all seen games where a team will sell out to stop a good RB and "make the QB beat them". Ben can do that.
