Steelers-Bengals game thread #AndTheCatsInTheCradleWithASteelSpoon

Kansas city is 1-2… we made a super bowl after starting 3-4 in 95…

Last year we started 11-0
The early season Doesn’t always foreshadow the way the season plays out… especially when injuries and rookies are a major factor
While of course you are correct, like many here I have watched football very closely for a long frigging time. Comparing KC start to us is to me,ridiculous. Bringing up last year,to me is also ridiculous. Anyone with any viewing experience at all knew that 11-0 start was fools gold. I mean seriously. Not saying I have the answers. But if you think this team is playoff bound, good for you. They don't instill that type of confidence for me.

Ive just seen people get too high or too low on the first few games way too often and the amount of players people enshrined in the imaginary hof who ultimately sucked or wanted cut based off of their first few games who actually were pro bowlers is long enough that I don’t make knee jerk reactions

Once more, there is absolutely no system or coaching in the world that’s going to work until you have a semi competent oline in place… that literally makes the offense work no matter what the offense is trying to do

And playclocks
After the play they ran, I almost felt like they would have benefited from the delay of game. I certainly didn't see him making the kick from where they were.

I am not to concerned about it anymore. Sorry but the ship sailed on this team even sniffing the SB about the time AB tossed the couch out the window and Levon started doing rap videos.

They cant run the ball cause the oline sucks, and the line suckage will get Ben started on retirement before the season is over at this rate.....

/optimism

Mad.......I agree of course about the line. But who do we blame for this? Did the FO throw Ben and the offense under the bus? Were they arrogant with no reason to be arrogant at all? Why did they not take the top Oline picks when they had a chance? What would have you done?

I love their 2 first picks. But there is no doubt in my mind I would have done it differently. I would have taken Teven Jenkins in the first. I would have ran up to the stage to say we'll take Creed in the second. I would have taken best corner or even line again in the 3rd. We are going to have a huge problem with our DBacks. To be honest I think we already have had for the past couple years. Without a pass rush they are below average. For the RB situation I was on board for signing Chris Carson as a FA. He's an excellent back. Who knows if this would have worked any differently. I think it would have. Yes I realize things take time.

What would have you done?

I'm not sure if there is a thread for other games, but I think Sean McVay should be drug tested.

About the same… hey i was planning a OT in the first, a C in the second and a RB in the third… but honestly the real issue is there was a gap in us developing some olinemen in the past few years and that screwed us… no matter when we drafted an olinemen there was going to be a growing pains phase… its just compounded with all the youth there… Dotson and Chuks aren’t where we need them either… Greene just might not be physically ready yet
Dotson is thinking more than blocking
I mean the solution for this year is pull the weakest link and get another vet in there for the time being

I just don’t think people understand what converting all of these new pieces on offense into a new offense really entails… its a giant learning curve… it limits the playbook because how many new plays can the typical player pick up every week?
