Steelers-Bengals game thread #RunThroughTheJungle

I disagree that this is their Super Bowl... They are a much better team than the Steelers, and they know it. This is exactly what you're supposed to do to an inferior opponent.
I know that. But emotionally, they circle every PIT game every year and now that they know they are superior, they have been waiting for this game to just blow PIT out. They have taken their punkish nature to new levels after every play, they act like they scored the winning TD in the Super Bowl. After a 1st down, they prance and strut and act like fools because they are wanting to talk smack and embarrass PIT. I dont think they feel like that about any other team. And if you look at the overall record over the last 10 years or so, you can see why.

Im sure many Steeler players have talked trash and whooped it up in their faces when they were giving away playoff games and were called the Bungles. As a Steeler fan, I wish our guys could act better, but that is the nature of the game today. I hate it.

The most impressive player I have seen in this respect was Barry Sanders. He would abuse a defense. Run around over a defense and get up, throw the ball to the ref, go back to the huddle and do it all over again and he didnt get stopped a lot. Now that is top notch. That is bad ***. Thats knowing you are bad *** and not having to jump around like a bunch of punks to make everyone look at you. Sanders just let his play do the talking. I wish more of today's players would do that, but they are punks with no class. They may be great players but they are classless and its embarrassing to watch it. I hate it when the Steelers do it too. I wish they would just be bad ***** and go right back to the sidelines and celebrate with their team instead of clowning to the camera.

Man, I don't think Tomlin is a bad coach. But, this team sure looks like one that needs to hear a new voice/message. Sometimes the coach/team thing just gets stale and it's time to move on.

Can't remember the last time we lost this badly. The P*ts and Eagles beat us pretty good in the past 5 years, but this takes the cake.

Shaping up to be Tomlin’s worst loss ever. Maybe Steelers worst loss since Lions Thanksgiving 53-3 loss in 1983, I think?
We
I guess Mike is trying for 8-8-1. That is the only goal they need to play for. That means they need 3 wins out of the next 6 games. Or maybe they could tie again and go 8-7-2.

Playoffs? (in my best Jim Mora voice) You talking about playoffs??? Playoffs???? ----not gonna happen. BAL will run rampant on this defense. LJackson may set records.
LoL ..yeah I forgot about the tie. I was also thinking of how bad that Ravens game is going to be.

Sorry. Nope. Players don’t look at that with 2 division games each year. Not to mention theor losing streak was broken by this group and started their own 3 game win streak. That is fan bullshit..they are laughing at the team not rubbing in; they are practicing now
I didnt explain it correctly. I dont mean that this is as far as they can go. I meant in terms of emotionally. You get supercharged up emotionally for the Super Bowl and CIN, CLE get more focused and charged up for PIT games than other games. This is by far not the limit of the Bengals. They are a good team . Really good, but they want this game more than a game with BAL or CLE. Look at how we have dominated them for years and years.

Cincy playing backups with 10 minutes left. That says it all.

Boy you don’t understand Cincinnati. Trust me this is their Super Bowl. I live here.

51-3 season opener to the browns in '89
51-0, actually. And I believe that was the score at halftime. Week 2, they lost to the Bengals something like 41-10. The Steelers did beat the clowns later in the year, though, and made the playoffs.

Sitting here watching Eagles and Giants

Giants Line is not hands down better than Steelers. They have weakness’ also. However, it is the scheme that every team but Pittsburgh (since Munch left) has and uses. It is who you block, where, when, and why and how it applies to the play call. Putting every player in position with the chance to win and have a successful play. Not in Burgh, it’s like 11 vantage points for each play vs one cohesive unit.

So many on this team lack fundamentals and a few still lack discipline... look Tomlin won us a super bowl and gave us some innovative twists... but its rare to be effective with the same team

It's good we peaked for the Lions game. I don't think we're good enough to tie them now.

They are an up and coming team with an extremely talented young franchise quarterback. We aren’t their Super Bowl. We might have been their trap game but clearly not anymore.

Meh. I live here, too. Maybe bengals teams of seasons' past, but I dont really see it with this generation of bengals. They know they're better than the Steelers now. They have their sights set on bigger goals
