I didn't check in because me and Mrs. Burgundy were at the game. She was kinda pissed that she dropped coin for tickets when so many starters weren't playing but i pointed out that we got our money's worth by seeing almost another quarter of football. Plus we won. Browns lose two fumbles with goal to go. Of all the Browns in the world, they're the Browniest.



Ran into Justin (81) and Penguins&Steelers at halftime. Concourse was packed as hell and I hear "Jon! hey Jon!" (my real name), a lot of people are named Jon or John but I look around and it's Justin.

You must try to win regardless of the players you field. The win at all cost mentality must be part of every Steeler players DNA if he wants to wear the Black and Gold.... starter or backup.

I see that as foolishness... always do the strategic move... playing balls to the walls in a meaningless game and getting hurt is just stupid... if they could id suggest a forfiet... why do you think every team is looking for a bye in the playoffs...

You play to win the game, so I can agree to forfeit and not play at all would be a better idea than Tomlin telling his players ..."men, no need to try to win out there, we got a playoff spot locked up, so just go through motions today".

I was hoping our entire team fielded its 2nd stringers, but in my opinion under no circumstances should a coach worth his salt ever say to his players that winning is not important.


Also, its been said that by not going balls to the walls the risk of getting injured becomes greater.

when players aren't going all-out is when they usually end up getting hurt, for one reason or another.

Problem is when one guy is going half speed and the guy who runs into him is going full speed.
As car show host and sometime-race-driver Jeremy Clarkson once said, "Speed doesn't kill you, it's suddenly becoming stationary that kills you."
