Steelers-clowns game thread - let's finish it.

I can't like enough of these posts.

Attended a funeral today but made it home in time to catch the 4th. All the talk about Duck is deserved given the situation but I'd like to give a shout out to the D and some good running between the tackles to close the game out. Would have ended a little sooner if the WR didn't go out of bounds and Duck took the sack rather than throw it out of bounds but those things will come with time and experience. Great team win today! Next!

Ironic Steelers attended a funeral in regards to the clowns SB aspirations. All kidding aside I am sorry for your loss.

Appreciate it, Slash, but my wife and I went to support a friend of ours. Her dad died just before Thanksgiving after battling Alzheimer's. Tough holiday season for them no doubt.

Sorry about the loss, JJM.

On to my remarks about the game...

I refused to come online today to let the naysayers ruin my game day experience.

Like it had been said - we beat the Stains, refs and Ol' Rog today.

I'm facking elated!!!

I loved the *** hat in the booth expert back pedaling on the touchback, and it was a touchback. If the ball was dead as soon as he initially knocked it backward, why no whistle? The play was dead, right? The officiating was ******* pathetic, all game long.

When he tossed it back it was still live. Any Steelers could have attempted to pick it up and advance it. Simply a horrible call.

Yeah definitely. Been tough here as ol girls mom has been battling lung cancer. About to go for her first full dose of chemo as she finished her scheduled radiation. We usually give each other gifts all year and don't really do Xmas. But this year Steelers train set, houses, wreath, lights, decorations. Trying to make it special for her just in case... Yeah been rough... But it is what it is. Glad for the win today made the day a good one...

should, but wont. All part of their plan today. what nfl wants, they get

I would say that ball downed at the goal line needs some serious scrutiny. If you watch that at full speed and then put in the fact that he touched it while touching the endzone, I really fail to see how you could possibly come to that conclusion.

Stan is reporting that players are stating that Tomlin gave them the adjustments at halftime and they are all giving him credit for stuffing the Browns in the 2nd half.

They reported during the game that the guy who grabbed it and tossed it back had full control of the ball and it was dead after it hit the ground. Rivera himself was reported as stating that. Just a horrible call. On top of that, it was reviewed and upheld.

Riveron not Riveria is the asshat who made that statement

Normally I feel just a tinge of empathy for the Stains and their fans for all their woes. but after that bullshit two weeks ago and all the big talk, shirts and pinatas since, I laugh at their ****** misery.

I know I heard that. Just about every call that comes from Riveron ***** the Steelers. If it was an out of bounds recovery it would be an illegal touch. It was all based upon the idea that the ball went backwards and looked like it was briefly stopped. So why the **** to players always touch or pick up the ball in that situation. To me I think the Steelers have every right to advance that ball if they so chose. Unlikely for sure, but to say the ball was downed legally in that situation is utterly preposterous.

They are using their collective voice to say "Hey Tomlin, adjustments are good, and you need to use them again some time." It's like when your toddler takes his first step, but falls on his butt. You clap and praise his efforts.
