Steelers - colts game thread

Yeah I'm an internet bad guy. Ask any of the old timers. :)

Better watch out for Mr. Lunar and PC, don't cross them or they'll eat your lunch. ;)

Again, all I said was I thought MR had a decent day with al the cards that were stacked against him. Sorry if I offended you by supporting the current Steelers starting QB.

Embarrassing game plan.

They act like this is ******* rocket science and that Patrick Mahomes did not come out of nowhere and throw for 50 TD's and 5,000 yards last year as a 2nd year QB and NFL MVP.

The Arkansas State Brain Trust needs to pull their heads out of their collective *****. Today they were a missed FG away from throwing away our season because of their cowardice and brazen unmatched stupidity.

We could be one game out of first place in the division if the favorites win out this weekend. Despite the start and injuries we had. Time to take the ******* training wheels off, You are not in Jonesboro anymore and this ain't Red Wolf Football.

This!!!!!!

The sad thing about the game thread you have certain people just pushing their agenda. I get bitching about the game. About how a player is doing. Bitching about coaches on how they are calling a game. It would be cool if people just save their agenda material for after the game for the current threads or just create a new thread if they feel they must. It has been the same week in and week out for a while. Oh well. That's my gripe.

Didn't confront you, i disagreed with your thought s on Rudolph, but the disrespect on this board is expected, so who am i to complain,
Disrespecting the site now? There is the door if you don't like it. SteelerNation is one of the most informative boards on the internet. We don't have to hold each others hands and sing bed time stories to be a good board. We debate sure and there is an egghead or two but you get that everywhere.

You might be right after watching Duck for 1 game and MR in his 4th. The next Joe Montana or Dan Marino? Probably not, but I think they are better than Kent Graham, Malone, Woodley, Tomczak, O'Donnell, Brister, Miller, Stewart, and probably a couple more I'd long forgotten between Bradshaw and Ben. Franchise QBs don't grow on trees. Too bad they wasted most of the window while we had a franchise QB

you think hodges and rudolph are better than what o'donnell was? seriously? what are you, 14?

Anyways I had a good time at the game we went shopping before the game my one buddy isn't much of a tailgater. My Florida buddies when they come up we do that. Got a game day book always worth the five bucks. Some Colt fans gave us some free beer I guessed they didn't want to to go to waste as they bought it before entering the stadium. Lost my voice a common for games I attend. Still have some of that rowdy in this old body. I jinxed their kicker with a "he won't miss this field goal that is a gimme." The refs got a finger on that late pass interference call and I think there was one "play some ******* football" on the one turnover deep in their territory that produced just a field goal. I behaved other than that, and overall had a good time. But I usually do at games as I love the atmosphere and of course rooting the team on. And of course a win is always welcome!

Some fans forget besides the SB meltdown he could move the ball and had a very low interception percentage. Odd as it didn't look the part on the biggest stage of his life. We had that game won. But yeah he was a solid system QB for us anyways.

he was very solid for us, for a couple of years. shame that he's always remembered for ******** the bed on the biggest stage, but that's just the way it goes, i suppose.

Might have been different for him if he wouldn't have ran out with his tail between his legs. As the scheme fit his playing style. Not so much on the Jets and the rest of the teams he made appearances on. I think three in all if I remember correctly.

I think it was either a 20 or 25million dollar deal, **** by today's standard, just pocket change.

Not quite buddy. Actually Neil and Mason have very similar styles. Hope Mason doesn't throw away a chance at a Super Bowl. Seems like just yesterday but unfortunately it was not. Damn good thing Neil had a great defense to keep the opponents scores low.

Hey I hope the Steelers can find you the QB you're looking for and soon. In the meantime I'll enjoy watching the games and get amused watching folks like yourself agonizing over wins for some unknown reason. Things could be a lot worse

Neil is nothing like Rudolph, he threw the ball down the field a lot. In fact in 1995 we threw for 4,000 yards when it meant something, we scored 407 points the 2nd highest total in Steeler history at that point and the great defense allowed 327 points, not a great total. Facts show Neil was a borderline franchise QB not the timid little check down king Rudolph is. Go back and look at the game winning plays in the championship game, he throws an absolute 50 yard dime to Ernie Mills , a throw Rudolph can't make.

Did he throw that pass in his 4th start?

I don't remember Neil being a gunslinger but one thing iz for sure he was a very safe QB. If the play wasn't there he'd usually throw it away. He was the perfect QB at the time for the Steelers and I wish he'd stuck around, it would have saved a few years of frustration but no way in hell he could show his face again at TRS.

Neil also had a decent running game to go along with that D

Neil came in against the Giants in his first game and threw the ball a ton downfield, he was not a safe check down king like Rudolph whose first inclination is always to dump it off. He did it in training camp and in his first 2 preseasons plus in all regular season games, it is who he is. Don;t draft QBs from the POS Big 12.

I can’t believe JuJu dropped that sugary sweet pass that hit both of his hands.

I just don't remember him being a game changing QB. Above average? Definitely but he also had Barry Foster churning out 100+ consistently so often times the safeties would cheat up.

Oh well...too bad for you he's no longer in the lineup. I'll go with Rudolph and if he can't play I'll enjoy watching The Duck but whoever is at the helm, its a team win or a team loss. Enjoy the wins no matter how they happen.
