Maybe Tomlin can explain why Thomas is not playing. He looked like a good pass rusher to me in the pre-season. Don't give the he's a rookie bunk, line him up in passing downs and let him rush as an end. That requires little knowledge of the defense. Thomas is probably a better coverage guy over ANY our LB's aside from Watt but Tomlin will have to trust him to find out.

A PF was assessed on the PAT. Steelers kicked from the 50. I'm thinking it was that or I guess it could have been on kickoff but he knocked it straight through into the u shaped area at the back of the endzone.

It was the punt after the last defensive stand under 2 minutes.
 
What about Rogers? Do they bring him back or leave him in IR? I was under the impression that he was close to being ready at the start of the season.
 
I like Switzer but Washington has been disappointing as much as I hate to admit. They need an upgrade at 3. I'd look at Roger's for sure.

Rogers was signed injured, and never played a snap in camp. He had ACL surgery so he shouldn't have been expected to return until the end of October/early November. Then he has to get into game shape. And he's carrying a 1 week suspension for PEDs even if he is rostered, he can't play for a week.

There's currently no spot for him unless one of 2 things occur. Switzer or JuJu gets injured

The other option is moving JuJu full time to the Z, dumping Hunter, and bringing up Eli as a second slot receiver. I don't see that happening though, since Hunter is also slot capable.
