NFL contracts are poorly structured IMO. Too much"guaranteed money". A players performance should dictate how they're paid and legit injuries preventing game time compensation as well. It just appears that (some) players get a fat contract then their performance goes in the crapper.
Make a play & get paid I say.
 
McCrane stats look very solid in college for accuracy. Could not find info on his long. He’s a small guy. Can he make fg’s from 50 plus yards?

Unless Boswell’s confidence is shot, he’ll keep the job in Tomlin’s mind.

Like some of the others have posted, I just dont see them eating the contract right now

I may be wrong, but according to what I read as I was following Bell's negotiations, It appeared that the Steelers would put an offer on the table and Bell would demand more. The Steelers would match that demand after some time had passed and Bell would demand more... finally, the Steelers gave up after the guaranteed money played a bigger part in the negotiations.
 
I heard Bell was ready to return at the end but he wanted the Steelers to simply agree not to franchise him again and they REFUSED!I

That had nothing to do with money just hard headed stubborness that put the egos of the front office over what was best for the team

Basically they said **** the SB, we dont want to ever look weak in negotiations, **** the fans too, we can twist them around our little finger anytime we like, we are always right



But whatever, they look like laughingstocks now, and it was the kicker that has them fuming, lol, cant slant missed kicks in the hometown press

If they lose the next 3 games by 2 , and there's a missed Boswell fg in each of em? It's not out of the realm of possibility,. The guy sucks donkey right now. Admit it, Everytime he lines up to kick, inside you're hoping he makes it,. You're not shocked when he misses.
 
Don’t look now, but Artie Burns is practicing with the starting D. Tomlin is trying his hardest to get the boot. I can’t wait.
