Not what I expected. And certainly not a coach with a 5-year+ leash if things don't look better on the field.
Interesting twist to our legacy as a team, because I don't think this is a 15 year hire under any circumstance. When it comes to coaches, we are now like everyone else. And I think we need to hold him to the same standard as the rest of the league.
His job is to find and develop a quality QB in his 20's. If it doesn't happen by year 5, he should be gone.
15-20 year coaching runs are the exception rather than the norm in the NFL for legit reasons. Not all of them bad.
Perhaps it's time the Steelers start being a little more "like everyone else".
The Steelers have not exactly been the envy of success in the league for awhile now.
