When Ben takes a 5 step drop, the pressure from the edges is there within 2 seconds. It takes more than 2 seconds to run patterns that you apparently want.

The Steelers have turned to running Bell and short passes. The Jets can challenge the short passes since they don't fear the long passing game, knowing that their pass rush will protect them.

Remember when the Steelers' defense blew up opposing QB's with a pass rush? And how opposing offenses could not counter that pressure? This is how they did it.

I'm saying regardless of winning you don't make it a point to extend a record of a player wh has fumbled twice.
 
So let me see if I got this right?
The Jets front 7 is good, their secondary sucks. So we should line up in a ton of run formations and run the ball at them, instead of spreading them out and making them take some of their frontat seven off the field, and throw at their ****** secondary.

Agree 100%. Do something. 2 TE's? Spaeth to help in protection perhaps?

They already seem to be keeping Heath in on pass protection since he has had zero targets. I think a quick pass to Heath over the middle is one way to slow the pass rush. If the DE's are blowing upfield, and the interior LBer is dropping into coverage. there should be some room.

One has to give Rex Ryan credit both for how hard his team is playing at 1-8 , and is defensive gameplan.

He has his secondary playing 5-10 yards the receivers, but are aggressively attacking the underneath routes and passes.

Steelers need utilize some pump fakes and double moves in the second half.
 
Looks like no one they put back there can return kicks. Does that still mean it is only the returners fault?
