Looks like they’re seeing what he would look like in black and gold. I like the depth move

Also met with the Jets. Hopefully his foot is healed as he would be a nice pickup.

Pretty solid vs run and decent rush ability, would be good depth/rotational player…could even challenge to be starter if he is indeed fully healthy now.

Hopefully his price has come down from what the Bears had agreed to with him.
At this stage of the off season I see a one year prove it deal being offered.

He just failed a physical for the $40 million contract he signed. I doubt he is fully healed. Maybe they are looking at him for later in the season.

This. Planning ahead for November and December football. If there is a mutual liking, maybe we could see this reappear then. But I’m glad they are exploring options

Could be a risk free deal to see how he does through TC.

So his foot is still busted if he failed the Bears physical for his 40 million dollar contract. So it's another wait and see if he can play later down the road. I really hope it pays off for both parties.

You and I both Falco! This sitting on your hands and doing nothing doesn't bode well with me. PRO-active not RE-active.

Hand it to our new GM for this move.

Could turn out to be a real good deal.

Two things…

1.) this definitely is a weird move for him if he really believes that Mason said racist things to Garrett… ten to one he backs offand downplays his statements about that now

2.) He becomes a prime candidate for the Vet who hates his role and pushes for a trade midseason now if any of those young guys pay off

Not to say I don’t like the move… he was by far the best out there for what we need and it keeps him from rejoining the browns midseason

Maybe/maybe not. It’s a 1 year deal. If it were 2 ok. But he definitely brings a presence opposite of Cam that is needed. Not exactly at Tuitt level but enough to help Highsmith or TJ. He can command a double team the same as Cam. I am happy with the depth of the D line now.

He has to be healthy enough to play first.

He failed his physical in March. I'm not sure what his foot surgery was. It's been 3 months since he failed his physical. I guess his foot could have healed by now or they were able to sign him to a cheap 1-year deal where they can cut him if he ends up not being ready to go.

And Mason traded away for a conditional 5th in…3,2,1…..

I think if played right we will get a 4th out of Mason. Call me "babbled" but it could happen.

If Mason performs well in a pre-season showing his stock will rise. He will NOT surpass Mitch and Pickett isn't going anywhere.

He might not be 100% by training camp or early in the season. If he’s healthy enough for them to sign now and let him get to 100% and he’s good to go say October I’ll take it.

GREAT senario as I see it as well. We need depth and this could be the infusion. If one of the young DL do step up then this is still good for rotation or just the fact you can't have to many good DL at the ready.

If all of them are healthy it will be a tough choice to cut one. After Heyward and alualu we have Wormley, Loudermilk, Adams and Leal, now with Ogunjobi that's 7.

We might trade Wormley for a 4th after it's all said and done.

2) Candidate for this year's "Melvin Ingram Disgruntled Player Award"?
