The Pittsburgh Steelers brought in a lot of new faces this offseason. The front office was quite active in free agency, as well as the 2023 NFL Draft. In the process, they let four-year veteran and 2019 fourth-rounder Benny Snell Jr. walk in free agency. The Kentucky product has yet to latch on with a different team, as he tried out for the Denver Broncos about a month ago, but never signed to the AFC West squad.

Snell was pretty close to that “Special Teams ACE” they seemed to keep for Danny boy.

It’s not that I didn’t like Snell, it’s more I thought we could have had better for RB depth, instead we got ST’s depth.

I know there is a LOT to putting roster together, but I think we could have done better in this situation.

As for who will be that THIRD running back, you nailed it as a mystery. I agree on needing to see what they have got during training camp. (Can’t wait for that to get going).

I highly doubt they bring in anyone for RB as our 3rd is currently on the roster.

I do see the BIG move before the season as being Highsmith extended and he definately won’t be the 3rd string RB. (Maybe in a pinch).
