Steelers might be in the market for a corner today

For a third round pick in 2024 and a fifth in 2025. Per Yahoo Sports it’s being finalized now.

To be honest unless we had an extension worked out that would have been too expensive. Could have been a 9 game rental for a 3rd + 5th. That would have been too rich for my blood.
 
I suppose I have to wear the Coach (Cooch) as some of you prefer to call him dog collar for a week. I bit to quick on that feed from ESPN and it looked like it was happening.
Would have liked this guy but he wants 15 million per season and is a FA after this year.

Shades said "We're open for business" regarding trades. What he really meant is "we're open for business if you allow us to rip you off" like we were with Chase Claypool. Oh well, can't always find a sucker.
 
Tomlin isn't a very good con man.

Im torn really… maybe a conditional third that is a fourth if he doesn’t resign… I guess it mostly depends on what they think they have in Trice. Id rather trade for an established guy at CB than risk a bust at a middling draft pick. He was young so its a good bet..

people think 3rd rounders are surefire things. The majority are still busts or utterly irrelevant players.. if you can get a good established young player with one, it is a good deal, but with how much money we already have in the D, another big money contract is getting ridiculous..

The way the Steelers defense gets put back on the field after three-and-outs it’d be more like a full season.
 
They probably couldn't see eye to eye on an extension...

Or the owner nixed the deal… that happens… and Id heard tgey wanted more than 3&5… maybe they were going to settle and got overruled


Also the leak could have been BS… his agent might have lied to try to drum up last minute interest

I know that may be kind of a joke, but it's actually not, it's true. He has conned the entire media world and a lot of Steeler fans that he's a good coach, when he really isn't.

We certainly can’t give up future high draft choices. So ,for me,you have to trade a player.

How about a Tomlin for Johnson and 2 firsts? After all he is a first ballot HOF according to most know it all media personal.

I get it, but we really have no idea what we have. Canada has put this cloud of stupid all over it. There may be some real gems underneath the stink.
