Steelers’ Omar Khan Is Working On Securing A Massive Playmaker: “Very Close To Landing A Significant Playmaker”

That's part of the reason I want it to be Sutton. He would be a solid WR2 allowing Pickens to thrive as a WR1 and Wilson to settle in at the slot.

Deebo would be interesting, he just seems injured a lot--or do I have a bad perception of him?

Aiyuk would be a terrific addition, I just don't know if I like the price tag. A couple of people tossed out Adams, that would be terrific, but again, for how much?

The dream scenario is Justin Jefferson. No way do the Vikings trade him after drafting a QB. You build around a young QB with two excellent young receivers.
I keep hearing it isn’t a Niners player so I would think they are almost off the table.

Tyler Boyd maybe? Tyler won’t cost draft capital. I prefer this move.
OBJ perhaps? Not too excited about him but won’t cost draft pick.
Courtland Sutton? I like him, he’s familiar with Russ but he’s going to cost draft pick next year which I’m not excited about.
Michael Gallup? Idk, not very exciting to me.
The pick is in…. I would prefer Tyler Boyd. Won’t cost draft pick and I think he could be a good number two. That’s my pick.
Gallup signed with the RADAARRS

How many times this offseason do we get to hear someone in the media talk about Khan and the Steelers working on some major deal that never actually happens? I'm no GM, but I don't see the Steelers trading anything for a WR that then requires them to either be on the hook for, or have to sign, a massive extension.

I don't see them tying up that much money at the WR position with the QB spot up in the air for next year. I suspect they will see if they will want to pay Wilson or Fields a lot before they know what else they can commit finically. It makes zero sense to have a lot of money going to a WR with no long-term QB plan in place unless they think they are going all in for this one year with Wilson. If they are working on a "major deal", I'm going to guess that it's on the defensive side and probably in the backfield, not the WR position.

They may end up with Courtland Sutton, but I don't consider that a "major deal" since he's not what I consider an elite receiver. He would be a nice to have given the current state of the WR room, but not elite. Even with Sutton, I'd argue the team still would need a true number one receiver.

Could it be:

Courtland Sutton
Hunter Renfro
Brandon Aiyuk
Michael Thomas
Devonte Adams

A combination ?

I'm thinking Aiyuk and Renfro. Aiyuk just looks too much like Tomlin for this not to happen. Prove me wrong.
