By Brandon J. Wallace SteelerNation.com ** Tuesday, Pittsburgh Steelers head coach, Mike Tomlin expressed his “plan” involving players kneeling during the National Anthem, as he took questions throughout a Zoom conference call via 93.7 the Fan. “Our position is simple: We’re going to support our players in their willingness to partake in this whether it’s […]

Here. we. go. again. ******* hell. I'm sure they'll parade ******* gonzo out onto the filed in his pig socks to speak out against racial injustices.

Hope the networks just skip over the National Anthem - just don't show it. Show a commercial or 2 - come back once it's over. Players can do whatever they want, free speech, all that ..... but I don't need to see it. (This'll never happen tho.)

They don't show the National Anthem anyway. It's just how many times the stations that broadcast it show highlights when they come back from commercial. Maybe the first couple of weeks and they'll stop. ESPN will no doubt show it every opportunity they can rather than show highlights of the game.

BTW, if anyone watched Tomlin's interview he handled everything going on right now very well.

Just one more reason added to why it is just about time to walk away from the NFL. I haven’t spent a dime on the Steelers or NFL since they made Defense illegal, the ONLY thing I have spent on is this board.

Steelers FO, you want to cut your own throat, go ahead.

I pretty much wrote the NFL off with this crap going on...

You don't respect the flag, the anthem, the principles this country was founded on, I don't respect you. No matter what the cause.
I say again standing for the flag shows unity. The flag represents justice. If you want to lock arms while standing that would also show unity while simultaneously respecting the flag. I say anyone who loves freedom should show the NFL that our voice matters. That men and women of faith matter. That men and women who pay respect to the flag and all that represents matters. Patriotism matters. You kneel before God nobody else. Don't be a sheep show the NFL that you "get it". Turn off the TV if you see one person disrespecting our flag. Turn off the TV if you see the media force feeding their agenda. Dare to do the right thing.

I tend to tape most of the 1pm games abd start them around 140. that way I can skip commercials and half time. I guess I can just fast forward through any anthem coverage. I don't have the sound up anymore so i guess again that I can just ignore this ****.

But doesnt it suck that you have to

They are kneeling and praying to God for racial equality.

I've never had a problem with it, and never will.

Cope,

Honestly, I have NEVER heard anyone on their knees for the anthem claim it was to pray. And, your next post seems to contradict the thrust of your previous one. Are you saying that they can pray (I guess) during the anthem, but the league doesn't like it? But, now they support it?

I will always preface this with that I don't think you should protest while on the job unless it's labor issues. I am at the point where I don't care either way, but from a neutral point of view, this method of protest was completely ineffective the first go around. Do the players feel that it will be more effective this time and will it be more effective than other forms of protests going on OR will it take away from the movement because it will become a flag/disrespect issue once again?

If the team collectively decides to kneel, then I will support their decision. Knowing Ben's relationship with police and AV's military record, they should come together as a team to decide. It should be all stand or kneel.

I seriously doubt the majority are praying. Cool thing is you can pray in unity while standing, kneeling shows disrespect.

They don't ask people to take a knee before the anthem............

The way I see it America has shown racial equality.

Again no need to force agenda when it has been force fed good and plenty.

It is sports entertainment not agenda entertainment.

I agree with you. He started to take a knee during the anthem to say **** You to America, period. He could take a knee at the end of the game or at the start of the 2nd half, any other time than during the anthem. But he chose to do it then just like he chose to wear pig cop socks. **** Kap. Go to inner city Chicago and take a knee if he really wants to save black lives.

Praying doesn't sit well with this league...

Hmmmmmmmm. So the league doesn't want them kneeling and praying but the owners are supporting that very thing. That's based on what they are doing while they kneel is PRAYING and NOT something else.

The appearance of disrespecting the flag, which stands for all the liberties / soldiers who faught & some died / the allegence to the nation / ect. Ect. Is so distracting that MOST have tuned out what the ******* protest was. AND yes Krapernick chose this as a way to bash the American flag and what it represents. He made a killing on it in $$$$money$$$$ so you can't say he is sincere to the core.

Just what the fans want to hear by millionaire football players, "F'Em" People are walking away in droves and the new guy has already insulted the fanbase. Wow!

Ebron is a mental midget and a problem player waiting to cause his brand of cancer, not a true Steeler.
