i have no idea what to expect with this game. Under Tomlin it seems the opponent doesn't matter. They beat good teams and lose to **** teams every year.
Claypool is out. I'm hoping that ends up being a good thing. I think they have been forcing it to Claypool too often. Maybe someday he will develop into the DK Metcalf field stretcher but he's not there yet. They also try to get him short passes and i'm not sure he's great at those. I'd rather those plays go to DJ or JuJu.
With Claypool out, my hope is that it forces Canada and Ben to get more people involved.
Will Watt and Highsmith be themselves? If they are then the Steeler defense is completely different.
The Steelers struggle to run the ball but so has GB. GB is 30th in rushing and only 3.4 ypc. Their OL has it's own issues, but Rodgers overcomes it by throwing back shoulder to Adams every other play. Adams has 34 targets. Next is Valdez-Scantling at 16 and he's on IR.
People have it in their heads that Green Bay is this awesome team but they're not. The Steelers should be able to win this game but right now they can't even execute basic plays.
On the subject of basic plays. What are the steelers base plays? What are they good at? They really don't have any go to plays.
I'll be optimistic
Steelers 16
Packers 13
