I am willing to give Snell a fair shake, but he won't be sniffing the field for a long time. Unless its a blowout game maybe.

I think you’re wrong. First I think JaySam is more than you say. He could be a decent feature back himself if given time. Not a star but decent. I think Snell could be a pound the rock catch a few keep the chains moving type. You I think are way to negative for this point of the preseason.
 
Snell has good blocking and pass protection, but is that enough to keep him? Snell seems like you could plug any RB in there and get the same or better results. I have not seen many flashes of potential from him. I would cut him, but since he is a rookie and a middle round pick I think the steelers will keep him. LB and WR are tough cuts we are going to lose some decent players there. I dont envy the coaches
 
Jat=ysam is slithery and good in the open field but is in no way shape or form a back that can run inside the tackls and survive and thrive. my son went to State and I saw him play every game and he is a great all purpose back but lacks both the leg drive and instincts to be a workhorse back.. he is bets as a 3rd down back and a guy yoy have to get in space.

Snell is just a guy. very disappointed after his great college career but he lacks the vision and burst to be anything special and frankly I am shocked by his lack of power.

Willie Parker says hi. Just because he wasn’t used that way in college means nothing. He had a damn good game last year as the feature back.
 
Willie Parker was shot on by the Holes in college, he has great speed and good power. JaySam was good in one game but with tape on him and his lack of power and inability to be quick in and out of small holes he would flop as a feature back. The difference between him and Connor is staggering.

Samuels was drafted as a guy who would have to develop as a runner. He already has improved.. like i have said earlier, college no longer develops players in pro styles anymore. What you see there isn’t always what you see after a year or two in the pros...

When even an old school guy like Saban starts using read option, you know it's a lost cause to look for college to develop players.

He’s solid in pass pro and at least in my draft analysis has way better hands than I thought he would. If we get down to him the only thing I need from him is to not get Ben killed. I can live with him at number 3. I like the Malik Williams personally but he’s not as good in pass pro so maybe just sign him to the practice squad.

You think Dobbs would be going up and down the field with this OL in front of him? No way. I think Hodges is as good if not better.

Absolutely if either someone offers something for him or it means keeping someone who will actually help this season... face it if ben goes down for a prolonged period it won’t matter who is under center...

Hodges is out there with a bunch of turds. Dobbs may have looked even worse with having the pressure in his face every snap I imagine, guy doesn't process reads real quickly.
 
Hodges gas the ability to throw the ball quickly and accurately from many angles. He looks much netter than Jones, Rudolph or Dobbs did in their rookie years, he is a keeper but we are gonna lose him stupidly to keep the miserable Dobbs.
