Interesting reading all the comments. First of all to be clear for me….. no Rodger’s.
So for me it’s the 2 young guns.

Best man at training camp starts. So the question is. How do you proceed ? I’ve always believed if you got the young guy you have to give him a chance. To succeed there is often failure. There’s a ton of examples of first year failures that go on too have very good careers. So I do believe you give Howard 2 solid years or Allard. No ins and outies every 10 minutes. I’m fully prepared for growing pains. Vets don’t like it….. ship them off for draft picks.

OTA's are starting soon. Assuming he is signing, he needs to be there. He also needs to meet separately with the WR's for a weekend of getting more in sync and bonding as he did last year. Last year he signed somewhere around June 5th. I'm assuming he met the WR's after that but I could be wrong.

I will say. The offensive system should help Rodgers if he does come back. Why he signed last season under that system is mind boggling to me.

I fully agree this more complex offense will definitely help any of the QBs, including Aaa-Ron.

Unfortunately, being a year older will NOT help Aaa-Ron.

His age is a real concern, he showed it big last year and I’m thinking it will show even a larger fang this year.

So.....next year we'll go into 2027 with 2 young unproven QB's (unless Rodgers gets hurt)? Awesome, that'll be year 6 with zero idea who the future QB will be. Do we trade up in round 1 and grab a QB then, giving us 3 young unproven guys? Does that mean we go out and sign Joe Flacco, because he'd give us the best chance to win?
One would think finding out ASAP what you have on your roster at the most important position would be best for business.

Maybe the Steelers will just bring Rodgers back for yet another year in 2027. Wouldn't even surprise me. He'll only be turning 44 next year, after another early playoff exit and a long and relaxing offseason.

The point now is to find the future guy, Rodgers absolutely gives them a better chance to win games than Allar or Howard, I haven't seen anyone arguing that, but it does zero for our future. It's just idiotic IMO, wasting another year of Cam, Watt, DK, Ramsey etc. with a 42 year old QB that's going to put us slightly above .500 with no shot at a Super Bowl. There's plenty of examples of QB's not sitting for a year or two, Hurts started 4 games as a rookie then was the full time starter, Nix, Maye, Allen, who did Darnold learn from, fact is no one knows if a QB is going to benefit from sitting or benefit from playing right away.
Just another year with an old vet we're trying to squeeze whatever is left out of him.

I look forward to seeing what kind of camp stories they come out with. Hopefully good things (there will only be good things on all rookies) on the Allar kid.

I really look forward to seeing the Red-Headed Mullett Player story as I think that will provide some nice “Steeler Way” football.
