Congrats to Timmons for his first Pro Bowl selection. DeCastro got snubbed, he's been a beast opening holes for Bell. Heath too.
I would love to have seen DeCastro make it... maybe next year.

I don't know, maybe the players in the league thought that they aught to have a little sympathy for Tombert. So they threw them a bone by putting four of the players drafted during the Tombert era on the Pro Bowl team. It would be great to not have to see them play though.
Great choices one and all! Three players i think have had pro-bowl type years in addition: DeCastro, Heyward and Gay.
I agree with Decastro and possibly Heyward. But not so sure about Gay. Yeah, he has 3 pick 6's, but those are his only INTs and although he's been our best CB, he hasn't been spectacular.

They must not know that Timmons drafted as an OLB. Somebody better get in touch with the committee and set them straight asap.

Timmons is held in higher regard everywhere else but here. Frankly if I am bell I turn it down. Heck id rather no Steeler play in this meaningless game. fewer hits the better.

Congrats on the 5 Steelers selected, especially Timmons (my vote for team defensive MVP). It'll be good to see those black helmets in the huddle again in Pro Bowl. Personally, it's all a popularity contest at some point, the best of the best are selected to the All Pro team which weighs much heavier in my opinion. The guys have worked hard, they are all deserving to get these accolades. Now lets beat Cincy and make moves in the post season tournament (playoffs)......GO STEELERS!
Actually I am surprised to see folks from our defense going. I am not trying to cast negative comments on our players but find it hard to believe that any of them are in the top 3 or 4 at their respective positions, I would not find it hard to believe that some are in the top 10 at their positions but would not think that makes them pro-bowl worthy.

People have been ******** on Timmons all season. I'm glad his contributions are being recognized. He's not a perfect linebacker, but he's made plays all season.

Congratulations Timmy you've been nothing but the cornerstone of health and consistency for our defense for years. You are officially the pro bowl player some of us knew you were.

I am happy for all and think all deserve it, glad to see Timmons on there and finally get some credit. I am surprised DeCastro did not make it with how good of a running game we had but can't be to greedy. I also feel Heyward has played hard every game and has been a stud, he don't have the #'s like other DE's so I can understand why he was chosen.
All in all I am happy our guys got noticed and we are in the playoff's, now we can put the topping on the cake by having them not be able to play in the game cause they have "some other" game to play in.............

I really like Cam too, but I also feel like JJ Watt should get two spots. The man is a super beast!
If Clowney gets healthy and they draft Famous Jameis, look the **** out.
