Steelers Pro Bowl list

Yeah I agree........... Houston could be a problem, lol!

Is Clowney going to be a colossal bust or do yinz guys think he is going to come back next year and take the league by storm? It sounds like most people think the latter. I was just thinking the other day, man Houston got boned on their pick if he is going to be injured like this all the time. Admittedly I don't watch a whole lot of college football so I didn't see how awesome he was in college first hand.

Clowney was an absolute beast when he turned it on in college. The problem was he took of plays off, and didn't really stay after the ball until the whistle. If he learns from Watt and gives 100%, Houston's D will be scary.

I'll believe Clowney will be a great player when he can get/stay on the field and prove it. He was the top pick and pretty much missed his entire rookie year. The league is filled with former could have been players. Hopefully he gets his chance if he puts the work in.

He had just undergone the same microfracture surgery that Greg Oden and Courtney Brown had early in their professional careers. There is a good chance his career is ruined.

I did not think he was going to fulfill his potential anyway, as he doesn't seem to care enough.

I am happy for all and think all deserve it, glad to see Timmons on there and finally get some credit. I am surprised DeCastro did not make it with how good of a running game we had but can't be to greedy. I also feel Heyward has played hard every game and has been a stud, he don't have the #'s like other DE's so I can understand why he was chosen.
All in all I am happy our guys got noticed and we are in the playoff's, now we can put the topping on the cake by having them not be able to play in the game cause they have "some other" game to play in.............

Decastro is a beast pulling but still had some early issues passblocking ... Ol is hard for me to grade since its so dependant on what the scheme calls for theresometimes a guy comes free cause the scheme calls for it and other times the lineman gets a great block on a guy he isn't supposed to... . every position has a little of that, just moreso on the line than anywhere. I get the feeling that eventually if the steeler run game does good the next couple years decastro will get in unless he gives up a lot of sacks

Nobody from our defense should be going

Timmons has twice as many tackles as the # 2 tackler, Mitchell. That is saying something. LT deserves it all day long. I am glad Troy didn't sneak in there on reputation alone. I bet we never see Jarvis Jones or Shazier make it.

Bad argument according to the people who aren't fans of his. Their argument is that tackles are a completely meaningless stat....and in addition most of his tackles are way down field after big gains. Because he's always late getting there to make the play.

I really like Cam too, but I also feel like JJ Watt should get two spots. The man is a super beast!

If Clowney gets healthy and they draft Famous Jameis, look the **** out.

I don't think Winston will fall far enough for Houston to get him. He's the real deal, as long as he isn't getting in trouble. He is gonna tear it up.

That's poppycock. If our D was THAT bad we are not a play off team. Timmons is everywhere on that field. He is a very solid ILB. He may not be the VERY best in the NFL, but he is close.

Yeah but I seen a few weeks ago I think on monday night football they did a big special about how our line pulled and they pointed out Decastro and usually when stuff like that happens it gets recognized. I am hoping next year he gets the nod!

too early to tell for either

But JJ isn't inspiring confidence.

The tackles stat is not a good one. It does not differentiate between a tackle that stops a drive and one after a first down is made. Not a knock on Timmons just on that stat. All of us used to laugh a lot when we found out Ray the knife Lewis had more tackles than plays from scrimmage at one point and got six tackles in a game he did not play in. There is also the comparison to a team that generates lots of 3 and outs verses one that allows teams to methodically go down the field and score. The team with the worst defense will generate more tackles under those conditions.

I am surprised that he was chosen as one of the top players in the nfl, he is someone I considered a solid player just not among the top tier, but I don't think I bothered to vote in the probowl ballots. I am happy for him and hope that someone will have to take his place because he is still playing in February.

I think Shazier becomes a pro bowler in time.. my opinion of course based on college play and what little we have seen from him to date compared to others at ilb in the past... Jarvis I would lay money on never being anything past a starter at best, and even that is iffy. I mean ill give every guy a chance (but archer, lol) but rarely does a guy develop 3 years in with as much playing time as JJ has seen and become a star. At this point don't tell me there is anyone here who'd rather have him in there over a journeyman like Moats...

I think it's been 2 years for Jones and he may not have started 16 games yet. Archer is a rookie. Both had some pretty good college play-especially Jones. But they ain't all JJ Watt. Yeah I would rather have him than Moat just because of the upside.

History is against him given his particular injury. Had he had that prior to draft he'd have been 3rd or 4th round at best.

Congratulations to all!!!!! Timmons especialy!!! He is way better than some here give him credit. 4th and inches,............ ring a bell?

Salute the nation
