Steelers releasing Smith

This is obviously them making room to draft Tanner Koziol

The Stanford TE Roush was the only TE that met with the team at the combine and was the only participant in the WHOLE combine to do every single drill. Why didn't Tanner do that?? :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: Seriously though, I like Koziol, I'll be curious to see if the team plans on adding to the room through the draft or if they re-sign Heyward.

That room is well balanced now, Pat will be the leader in receptions, Washington will be the brute force, draftee or
Heyward (listed as FB)will be back up / mop up duties.

Thank you Juno for the short lived memories, wasn’t your fault of the scheme failing you.

not sure why he skipped the 3-cone drill and the 20-yard shuttle. Willing to bet he skipped the bench as he needs to get stronger.

the ones he did do show he is plenty athletic enough

doubt the Steelers take him...but I can dream

I never understood the high expectations for Smith. His 2024 was a clear outlier in his career. Last season, he was right on par with his career averages in terms of receptions and touchdowns. As far as yardage goes, no clue why Arthur Smith only had him running 2-yard routes.

You are a kind man DIC thanking such a useless peg.

I’d say something like, “don’t let the door hit in ya in the Jonnu! Can’t even block as good as the midget CA3… wtaf are you doing out there?”

Dude was a complete waste of space on the squad and did nothing more than collect a check as the square peg he was.

Saw this obvious move coming from miles away. Good to see the team not willing to waste more coin on his way overpriced services.

Oh I’m in on what you are saying, it’s just his exit sentence from me.

It’s a goodbye see yaz, chin up encouragement for his life to continue forward.

He realy didn’t do much here, but I also put a portion of that on the previous coaching & scheme.

Tomorrow Ohio State is gonna sign a suspiciously old looking recruit named Smonnu Jith🤣- Arthur Smith needs his Jonnu fix
That or Jonnu will become OSU's new TE coach under Smith.
I don't think they're allowed to be apart.

Was really dissapointed with him. Could have been better in a different offense maybe, but pretty much sucked last year. Im thinking if McCarthy wanted his skilll set he wouldn't have been cut.
Agreed. He has shown that he has the talent. I don't think we used him properly and eventually, it looked like the effort wasn't there.

With his ****** contract? Naw, that’s an obvious wait for the cut. Dude was massively overpaid
He was here simply because he was Artie Smith's guy (no relation).
Waste of a roster spot and kept 'Muth on the bench when he was the better player.

EXACTLY Ron, and the coaching staff didn’t recognize the difference even though Pat showed it plane as day.

Let’s see if this new coaching staff can identify the hand in front of their face, I have confidence in they will.

Jonnu lost his enthusiasm to play. He was only going through the motions. He didn't want to get hit anymore. A big strong guy but he turned in to a P#ssy.

When you get older you don't want to get hit. Maybe he can get a job with Disney. They are hiring washed up nfl players for something. Probably just seeing which might get a lot of views.
