Steelers Request Interview with Patrick Graham

Fordy, you have to give Dan much more credit than just he was ok. He was very instrumental in building that 70’s dynasty with Chuck. Dan was a very respected and influential owner and was a key member on moving the NFL forward.
Art II is a businessman first and foremost and is nowhere near the passionate owner his dad was. Sure he cares but filling the seats, selling the brand and gear, raking in the TV money, that’s top priority.
I’ll give Dan credit for knowing enough about football to put that front in the beginning. But his ideology has forever stained the NFL. And his son is turning the Steelers into the Bengals

His ideology has stained the NFL forever? Really?

He’s been throwing a mediocre team out there for 11 years. You don’t ruin a team in one season or two. Just like you don’t ruin a country in a year or two. It happens slowly. You slowly purge the team of hard nosed football players. You change the mindset of the fans where mediocrity is “good enough” and overtime you have a complacent fan base and team.

Chief was the real thing and Dan was “ok” because he at least knew what the team should be. But he plagued Art’s head with stupidity and now we have to deal with it.
I always find it amusing when people refer to the Chief as a great owner. They must forget that he owned the team and was president from 1933. They only made the playoffs once up to the Immaculate Reception in 1972 and were shutout.

After all these years, they can't forget Kimo!
And Kimo was one of their own before we got him.

That O'l saying................................ until we beat them they can say what ever they want, well it applies to them as well....41-3 can Austin fix this ?

Salute the nation

Pretty good resume and seems to be well regarded as a DB coach.

I dunno when he was a DC his units steadily declined. Two questionable choices. Is that so someone can be convinced hiring from within was the best option? Not impressed.

And fits the narrative.
Tell me if I'm mistaken, but, I'm assuming the "narrative" you keep referring to has to do with the Rooney Rule and hiring minority coordinators. My assumption, of course, is based on your previous statements tying the two together.
Quick question; How many coordinators under Tomlin have "fit the narrative"?
If you can't name one, then there is no narrative. ;)

Art sr was a great owner because he founded the team and took care of the players better than most owners did … Art wasn’t a great football guy… but he was by all reports a great guy, bailing his guys out of problems even long after tgeir playing days were done…

Dan was a football guy through and through…
