Steelers quarterback Will Howard’s rookie season is on pause after he sustained a fracture in the pinky finger of his throwing hand on Tuesday, league sources told The Athletic.

No, barring catastrophe this clouds the Steelers future QB situation even more as they will likely head into 2026 not knowing anything more about Howard than they do now. He was no more of a project than Brock Purdue and Tom Brady were in their rookie seasons.

This is his learning season and if anything please learn all you can from Rodgers. Soak up as much as you can from him it will help you next year.
