Steelers with five total first downs. Two or was it three of them came on that last futile drive for the missed field goal. Titans have one drive longer than the entire offensive possession of the Steelers in the first half. That about says it all.

I think many on here agree with that but also know that Tomlin isn't going anywhere. As long as you get rid of Butler at least hopefully they bring someone in from outside the organization and THEY bring their D philosophy and call the plays.

1. If they fire Butler, that's like saying Shades' defense is no good since everyone knows he runs the D. Will not happen.
2. Anyone else they hire will want to mostly run their defense, not Tomlin's, and Shades will have none of that. So why would anyone want the job.

Tomlin's coaching tree is regularly watered with Roundup. As far as I know, not ONE Tomlin hire or assistant has ever gone on and been promoted.
And he's supposedly a H.O.F. coach?

Really?

Look at former Cowher guys who went on to at least become head coaches in the league. LeBeau, Capers, Whisenhunt, Mularkey... I suspect there are more but that's what I came up with off the top of my head.

The thing is, we have had so many prime time or big exposure games the last few years. We used to thrive under the limelight with everyone watching. That was a long time ago. I have nothing against this coaching staff personally.
How the media doesn’t rake this coaching staff over the coals is beyond me. And players too. 3 points again. Some on here still defend Tomlin and staff. Yes if he was let go he would be hired instantly with a huge contract. Stale. Stale is the word here. Things have gotten very Stale. For a long time now.

I'm really in that camp now. It took me a long time but there is no way a team can play so bad in the first half week in and week out and then play well in the 2nd half. They do lack in talent in areas but this is a complete coaching fail.

It's beyond stale. It's incompetent coaching and game management. Not just a screw up here and there. Almost every game.

I think they're being careful since we have such a large fan base. Just my opinion but it wouldn't offend me.
