Steelers to Sign Kwon Alexander

I just saw the tweet. This defense is going to be hot and show no mercy….

Makes me wonder if the Khan and Alexander’s agent had an unofficial agreement a few months ago and needed to wait to pull the trigger

That will probably be in the Presser tomorrow, lol

looks like the ILB group has a shot to be much better than the last few years
Steelers 2022 ILB room:

Devin Bush
Myles Jack
Robert Spillane
Mark Robinson
Marcus Allen

Steelers 2023 ILB room:

Cole Holcomb
Elandon Roberts
Kwon Alexander
Mark Robinson
Tanner Muse
Nick Kwiatkoshi

I think before Kwon's add they lacked outside of Holcomb a coverage capable iLBer. I think this Jerry McGuire's the position. (you complete me)

Well hopefully this new batch is less painful to watch than last year’s batch, which frequently looked more like Charlie Batch than NFL linebackers…and I’m not talking Chuck in his prime, I’m talking if present day Batch came outta the booth to play LB! A very low bar which I’m pretty certain they can clear.

Kwon. Thats Korean! He must be Korean. My wife is Korean, thats how I know.
Tae Kwon Do is a Korean martial art.

Can't go wrong there. Remember the last time we had a Korean linebacker...well, he played like one

Nice depth addition. I could see him cutting out a role in this defense.

Seems like they are using a shotgun approach and hoping at least two will be quality. I'm not crapping in it. My concern is all of the ones they brought in have injury histories. Though I'm not positive about Roberts.

I hope hope at least 1-1.5 of these new hires play above the mark. I hope the great players on defense can help elevate the rest to a higher level and greater achievements. Together!

the only injury related missed games for Roberts were in 2020 He missed one game with an elbow injury and 1 games with a concussion

he played all 17 games the past two seasons

I almost miss Larry Foote getting a yard further behind Rice every two steps on simple releases from the backfield.....those were the good ole days!
