I don't think it's the 4th round investment, it's the lack of WR depth. Scotty Miller would look like Jerry Rice compared to the current bench WRs.

The only real + with the Allar is the special arm. I don't see anything with Howard.

Bias. Some folks (maybe you?) want to evaluate Allar like he's a young QB who is seeing his first NFL action. They then want to evaluate Howard as if he's a finished product and a veteran. Can't do it. Have to evaluate both as projects. And hope they BOTH succeed. 'Cause if they do, we're trading one of them.

It's also not biased to say that Howard is just not very good right now and has not shown anything to suggest he will be an NFL starter in the near future. Don't know about Allar, which is why I wanted him starting to see what he did.

They’ll keep four QBs on the 53. I think they want to continue the development of the two young QBs.
IMO Drew has more natural talent, arm strength than Will Howard. Now it will be who develops the quickest between the two for next season.

Its great to be able to see another Steeler game but the preseason has become about as exciting to watch as the Pro Bowl. I guess September is definitely the new preseason

I disagree. Allar has an elite arm. However, Howard has an NFL arm himself; just not as BIG as Allar. Few have that. I've seen good and bad from both of them. And have "hope" that they both succeed.
