The college concepts have crept into the league for years. Lots of Chip Kelly stuff. But the successful NFL OC's have taken those concepts and added onto them. Canada still operates at the base level.

Urban Meyer got laughed out of the league too because he tried a rigid college offense. Difference is, the Jags recognized it and moved on but the Steelers just chose to blame it all on ben and give Canada another year to flush down the toilet.

Trevor Lawrence looked horrible last year because nobody was open. This year he looks impressive in an NFL offense.

What is inexcusable to me is that Canada saw all of last year's film and did not see any need to make changes to his beloved system. Also that Tomlin watched the film and thought, Yep, this looks like a great offensive scheme to continue.

I think Tomlin loves the idea of short safe passes. I think he isn’t making changes because its what he wants… win with D like its 1990
