Yes they all do but maybe not against another team’s backup defense.

It’s not just the interception necessarily…slow, not evasive, he’s not horrible just not lighting the world on fire.
 
Will Howard has not looked good tonight except for a couple throws early. He's made some bad decisions throwing the football. The first INT the Safety was just sitting on that route...he needs to recognize that. The second one the WR was blanketed....should have never thrown it.

Let's hope Allar has a better second half than Howard did a first half.

Why not. Put him on the practice squad. If someone wants to sign him to their 53 man roster....let them. No?
 
McCarthy is really in a crap situation. Owner (and fans) want a SB run out of a team that hasn't won a playoff game in a decade. And he just wants to develop the QBs and get more talent so he can bring that SB to his hometown

Agreed......they NEVER THROW INTs AGAI ST BACK UPS IN PRE SEASON.....EVER.
 
Mo Howard still has lots of work to do. Two bad ints won't help his case.
Going to have to show better in Buffalo next week if he expects to make the cut.
Klubnik looks pretty good!

The only positive is he won't get fired. So, as long as he has the stamina (and the want to) he has time to turn the roster over and mold the team like he envisions.

Dude, are you his brother or something? I’m trying to evaluate him based on his performance. It’s not overly impressive at the moment. Does that mean he’s the worst QB I’ve ever seen in preseason? No. Chill a bit.

Mason isn’t under contract for next year. He ain’t the future. You need to go into next season with Howard and Allar plus whomever else they get.
 
I think people forget Howard is essentially a rookie, and their expectations are off the chart based on one season at Ohio State.

I thought on the first one he had a bad read. On the second that was a bad throw you need to get the ball up and in front a little more there. Some things to clean up and learn from ..

I think people are just comparing how he looks vs. how Drew Allar looks vs. how Mason looks. As I hope the coaching staff is.

Obviously you have to look at who you want for the future vs. who you want as a backup this year, and those are two completely different things.
 
Last week I really liked what I saw from Drew Allar. Howard looked good last week but Drew just looked more natural and relaxed and has a cannon for an arm.
Let’s see what he does in the second half tonight. Hopefully he can build on last week’s performance.
 
Well, Will is definitely not better than Rudolph at this point.
