Tomlin always has a scape goat, nothing is ever his fault, just ask him.
 
Sickens me to say this, but the team that deserved a trip to the playoffs is going... the Steelers weren’t going anywhere in the playoffs... it took everything they had to beat a decimated Cincinnati... at home no less... that lost 6 of its last 7 games.

Yes, blaming the refs makes you sound like a seahawk douche. Why not blame Coach Cool Shades for thinking he could beat Oakland with Dobbs. That loss pretty much cost us the season. His asinine fake punt put the nail in the coffin. But sure, blame the officials.

The 4th qtr leads given to a 2 win Raiders team and 18 points given up in the 4th to the Chargers had nothing to do with turnovers, or the idiotic cover 4 vs Brees on 3rd and 20 had nothing to do with turnovers

On the plus side,

Ben with 5k passing yards. Very nice.
Conner > Bell. Also very nice.

Not that either of those matter with bug-eyes in charge.

Did someone say he is 0-9 on his last 9 challenges? Nice!
 
The worst thing about this is that for the first time in a few years I feel like we have peaked. There’s no upward path that I can see. I sincerely hope I’m wrong but with Ben in his twilight years...even AB is not going to get better. The only chance at a serious improvement is major coaching changes or some unexpected breakout star. I don’t see us getting any better. We wasted our best years. That is really sad to me.

We peaked in 2015-2016 time frame.
I thought for sure we had it that year. After that, it went downhill.


Now there is some talent and physicality to improve upon now.
Conner, JuJu, McDonald.

Only proper coaching will make the most of that talent though

you know we were not going to do anything this year anyway. now next year we will play a 2nd place schedule, have a **** ton of cap space, and Ben will be back. I say through everything into the 2019.....

They lost to bad teams. A 2nd place schedule isn't going to help them. Hell it may hurt them.
