Sitting at 1-3 upon this early 2021 NFL regular season, the Pittsburgh Steelers find themselves in unfamiliar territory — sitting in last place of the AFC North. With that said, not all is lost just quite yet. With two more home games just before the bye week against the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks respectively, the Steelers could find themselves clawing their way back into contention, on top of getting one of their secret weapons back on the defensive line. Stephon Tuitt was finally spotted at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex on Friday where the Steelers practice. Take a look:

We’re going to have to start calling this guy “Slim” Tuitt. In what appears to be a photo of Tuitt running through individual drills on his reconstructed right knee, he looks like he may have dropped a few pounds and in great football shape.

Tuitt has been away from the team for several months, both due to personal family reasons, as well as his injury to his knee. He was placed on IR just before the season began, but is looking to make a return back to the field soon. When exactly that will be is anyone’s guess. We continue to wish Tuitt a speedy recovery, both on and off the field.

Tuitt finished the 2020 season with 45 tackles and 11 sacks. His presence has surely been missed to start this season. We’ll continue to keep yinz posted on his progress.

Finally good news coming out of the burgh

Saw the pic in the other thread. He does look in shape but that contraption on his knee isn't good. He'll be only going in straight runs with no cutting for a while would be my guess. He is a long way from coming back. I don't think a DL can play with one of those on like an OL can but maybe.

they say after the buy vs Fields is the best and most probable as to his return

Where's the picture? And, "reconstructed knee"????

here it is

I too was a little taken back................. what the hell is the extent of the "re-constructed knee" ? I see that as a major knee surgery and long time to rehab.

Now if they cleaned it up then maybe the soon return but not that soon if reconstructive.

Salute the nation
