Not watching anything. Hiked all morning. Now at a bar drinking, eating lunch. You can do lots when the Steelers are not on Sunday.

Yesterday I went on a huge walk cause I knew the weather was changing. Vancouver has made a conscious effort to try to reintroduce streams of yesteryear covered up in culverts etc because of urban sprawl. This one little stream that they had been working on flows to the ocean through a little ravine. Ive walked by it hundreds of times watching their progress. Yesterday I noticed lots of people looking. To the left were a couple of spawned out salmon that had finished their journey,to the right there were a good 8 salmon digging in the gravel, waiting for the water to rise. A member for the salmon society was there explaining to all the kids and adults everything. Proud as a peacock…. 42 salmon had made it up this year with more to come.
