Sunday games.

Well the context is saying that Tomlin should get the same benefit of the doubt.
That is the way you saw the context. I want Tomlin gone...he has been given enough benefit of the doubt.

The context for me is that I think too many fans think that if we just change the coach all will be well. I believe you have to try, but I also go into it realizing that it might not all be peachy. Even if they start hot, they may level off. And they may get hot again. Pete Carroll may be an example of that. We'll see how the year pans out. I hope we understand that if the Steelers ever do make a change.

I think most reasonable fans understand that you can go downhill with a coaching change. You can also climb the valley we are in as well.

Coach Tomlin has the tenure going for him in the day-to-day familiarity of operations, something a new hire may have to find.

We all know what we've got currently but most are willing to take the gamble for something new.

There is no "overnight" fix as this pit has been dug too deep.

Willis looked pretty bad. KC's D suffocated him into sacks and he couldn't do anything in OT. Tannehill may have beat them, but beating KC at Arrowhead is very tough. I do like the toughness of the Titans. Vrabel is a good coach.

Yeah, Willis is what I thought he was. A one trick pony. He could develop a bit more as a passer but won’t ever be a great passer.

I am curious to see if Washington plays Sam Howell at all. Imo he was the QB with the most upside. Elite arm strength, very good legs, fiery competitor.
Dont think Coach Ron will go with a rookie when your still in the wild card hunt at 4-5..

They actually could easily be 6-3. Heinike is doing a decent job keeping them relevant and in games..

Rivera has that team playing ball despite all the BS with their owner and all..

I didn't say next week. Just if they play him at all. They have a tough schedule and I could see them only winning a couple more. If they are out of it mid December do they throw the rookie in to see if he is the answer for next year or do they just ride out Heinike? I don't know but it's clear Wenz is not the long term answer and Heinike is probably a spot starter at best.

I'm expecting two or more coaches to get it right. But that beats this which is beating your brains against a rock for a guy who's biggest resume piece came wiith someone else's people.

Here is the thing. If you don't believe your coach can get it done you very well may go through two or three. But the sooner you start the sooner you get where you want to go.

I think that is a mistake. If you are gonna make a change, you'd better get it right. You go through 2 or 3, maybe it becomes 5 and next thing you know you are Cleveland. But go through 2 or 3? If they each get a minimum of 2 seasons, you are possibly 6 or more seasons from any success. That wouldn't sit well with the fan base. Nobody will be sitting here on this board saying, "This is fine since they got rid of Tomlin."

The Steelers won't do that anyway. If they make a change, that guy is going to get plenty of opportunity. And rightfully so.

What I am trying to say is I have seen lots of coaching changes over the years. Lots. I've been paying more attention recently because I wish the Steelers would make a change. But as lot of these guys aren't exactly blowing my hair back with any consistency. Sirianni in Philly, he is doing a heck of a job, but can he sustain? Even McVay, there is a guy maybe you could put in the Tomlin category...he didn't exactly develop that Super Bowl team. They bought it.

I guess while I want to see a change, I am not as absolute about it like some of you are.

What happens after Tomlin is gone is independent of that event. But the sooner he is gone the sooner this franchise can get where it needs to go. It's like Ben. Loved watching him. But once he was not championship capable there was just no point. It's inevitable.

Ben could have won a championship lastvyear witht he supporting cast. Just my opinion

Entitled to it. My opinion was that he had no mobility and his deep ball wasn't great. If he had everything in place ok maybe he pulls out a Manning or an Elway where his play is above the line and the rest of the team is great. Either way this team was no where near th supporting cast nor the coaching staff so moving on is for the best.

Let's not get carried away here. Maybe if he had an entire team to carry him to a title and the best coaching staff in the league.

Ben won us

Ben won us alot of games last year. If we had a decent oline and no injuries on defense we would have had a good chance

Dang right he could have but that offensive line and OC made dang sure that wasn't going to happen. I think Coach Tomlin did a VERY BIG dis-service in how the constructed that "last hurrah" team for BEN to play behind. BEN still showed he had it but just couldn'tover come the **** OL and the **** coaching on top of everything else.

Best QB to done the B & G, taking nothing away from Terry.

I like Ben as much as anyone they were God awful in the first half. Unquestionably they have more wins this year with them but you have to be living an alternate universe to believe they could have contended for anything than a a one and done wildcard appearance with this oline these coaches and with Watt out this year. No chancie Mr. Whalen.
