Joe Burrow us a very different animal then Jackson and Mayfield. I never thought Jackson would last. I've seen that movie a half dozen times or more. I've always believed if the qb is the best athlete on te field he will inevitably rely upon that. And that can be gamed because the DE or in the Steelers case the OLB will be the second best athlete on the field. I always thought Mayfield was small. And to be fair the book is not written on either guy. But to me Burrow is gonna be a problem for a long time. He has the drop back read and throw game with just enough mobility to buy time.
Burrow is a better qb, but Palmer was a franchise level qb and they broke him pretty well too… that guy was a cant miss ready out of the box guy and now that franchise despises him.. Dalton wasn’t a bad talent and they broke him too…
The answer is probably not… he is going to David Carr his way out of the league…. I mean literally his sacks per starts is at 3.4 and carr was at 3.38…. You have to be hella tough not to get broken physically and mentally at that pace… carr totally collapsed after 5 seasons…
