QB-
Aaron is probably wishing he retired.

WR-
DK sucks.
Bernard looked like our best receiver… minus that one play 😆.

Pittman hopefully is a go next week.

TE-
We NEED to get these guys involved more.

OL-
Shake up has to happen next week. Cook got fooled on a blitz. Fautanu almost got Rodgers killed. Interior was pushed back all day.

DL-
See above but in reverse of our o-line. Guys we getting to the second level all day and running down our throats like we were Mia Khalifa.

Edge-
Watt still playing at another level. Herbig with a couple big hits and nice punch out fumble. Highsmith was pretty quiet minus the offsides penalty.

LB-
Queen with a nice pick. Wilson had an up and down game.

S-
Brisker hurt already. Story of his career.

CB-
Today probably helped JPJ contract situation.

This all starts at the line and we are getting roughed up on both sides.
 
QB-
I am wishing he retired.

WR-
The Steelers have an out for DK next year and I fully expect them to use it. We need Pittman back badly and to target him and Bernard to move the chains.

TE-
Agree, they should get a lot more targets.

OL-
This group stinks and the QB play is not helping. Cook needs to go to the bench and Anderson should not be far behind. While they played the position in college, we'll see if there's long-term payoff from switching Fautanu and McCormick because the early returns haven't been good.

DL-
It doesn't appear we want our DL to rush the QB as much so you would hope they'd be more stout against the run (they aren't).

Edge-
Yep, this group is good.

LB-
A couple of nice plays, but mostly invisible today.

S-
Mediocre group is playing as expected.

CB-
I'm afraid what Chase and Higgins is going to do to this group without JPJ.

This team's problem is 1A the quarterback and 1B the offensive line. The defense is good enough to win a lot of games, but this offense stinks and this should've been the year to commit to a stopgap QB and then move onto a young guy later in the season. Instead, we'll have to watch Rodgers for 16-17 games.

Totally. No one can QB with bodies being pushed in lap. At least the Coach says real things and takes accountability. Hopefully a better practice week. Maybe shake up positions but hard to picture this as a contender.
 
First Quarter gave me Matt Canada flashbacks.
DK gives me Dijontae Dropsie Johnson flashbacks.
No big plays.

QB - poor day from Ayahuasca A-Ron, but the OL got manhandled.

OL - just not good enough. I'd rather watch Mad Max and Dunker learn than Anderson/Cook underperform and get Rodgers killed

RB - not impressed with Dowdle yet. Huge miss on blitz p/u when Rodgers got rocked and fumbled. I miss Gainwell.

WRs - I miss Pickens, a lot. DK is hugely disappointing. Nice to see one series with Germie...some success, so they stopped going to him. Pittman was missed.

TEs - underused....Why not get Mount Washington to help out beside the Ts? No need for WRs who aren't downfield.

DL - strengthened as the game went on last week; were far less disruptive this week.

LBs- rushers did well, especially TJ, rest average at best.

DBs - I miss Joey. Sign him dammit.

ST - enough with the 50+ yd FGs already. Boz is great, but human. Get some damn first downs.

OL sucked in all phases of the game, if you will, obviously.
Warren did okay when he could make his own plays. Did I mention the OL sucked?
Somebody get DK a 5 gallon bucket of Stick-Um.
Defense was decent.

Need to use some high draft picks on the OL. Oh wait.....

Rodgers isn't very good even when he has time to throw. He is looking pretty washed through two weeks and ran himself into at least two of the sacks today (including the fumble).
 
The OL and the DL. Nothing else matters until they improve. More so the OL. Doesn't matter what qb you have. Oh and this team doesn't have a No.1 wr,just a guy they pay like a no.1 who can't catch the ball. Doesn't catch contested balls or break a tackle. For being a physical specimen, he sure goes down easily.


It's game 2. I'd rather look like **** early,than look like **** late in the season.
 
DK Metcalf has been, is and always will be a below average WR! I can't believe we gave this bum a $132 Million contract! Worst Steeler signing since Kent Graham and perhaps the worst in Steeler History! I'd bundle his *** with Joey Jr for a #1 pick! DeKaylin is straight up A$$! Waste of $$$! Heck I'd rather see AB & Hines Ward suit up at their current ages than have DK on this roster! Dionte Johnson is out there in need of a team. He's got similar hands...but IMO he's a better route runner. I can't believe we let George Pickens walk....yeah he's a headcase but far more talented than DK.

Yayha Black needs to be on the field more often! I don't know what his snap count was but it's not enough! The kid is a complete road block in the middle of the football field! If that means less snaps for Benton so be it!

Why did the Steelers play musical chairs with our OL guys this off-season? Troy & McCormick looked good on the right side....now we flip them and they both look pedestrian at best! Dylan Cook needs to take a back seat to Iheanachor......he's too good to not be starting at either tackle position. Ryan McCollum can play Guard....why is he not getting any reps? I'm also not impressed with Zach Frazier maybe it was just a bad game but he didn't look good last week either.

Drew Allar's time is now.....let the kid get out there and get his hands dirty! This team is going nowhere this season anyway. I can see a last place finish for this Steeler team this season! Yes they are that bad! Averaging 8 PPG is not going to win many games this season!

No pass plays drawn up to get Mount Washington the Football? How about a little wheel route just past the LB'ers to get him into space vs any secondary?
 
I've got a theory - Art 2 is smart. Hire a has-been coach and get a has-been QB and go 4-13 for the high draft pick we desperately need. I guess JPJ is gone for a draft pick - we can have a losing season without him.

Don't ruin Drew Allar with a subpar OL and subpar WRs. Keep Aaron in there until he inevitably gets hurt then let Mason or Will finish the season.
 
Allar needs to watch and learn he is very raw, need to decide if perhaps time to insert Max at RG or at RT.
thinngs could been different if key drops neer midfield did not stall due to drops thanks or poor pass blocking
 
OL was bad reminded me of Texans game.
1 TD in 8 quarters in today's NFL is pathetic. RBs are getting hit at our behind the line, QB is getting blindsided, it is just a hot mess. They need to put the young guys in there. They can't be any worse.
Hard to judge Rodgers since he has no room for error and DK has the drops. Usually Cinci "fixes" our offense unless your Tomlin and do the exact opposite of what worked the previous 2 games.
Queen had an int where he made a nice read, but that was about it. Wilson was burnt and is not a run stopper. We gave up a couple big runs right up the middle. Overall the front 7 played decent. Edge guys all played well. Secondary was not terrible, but had a blown coverage. Seemed to be the safeties fault so I doubt JPJ would have saved us there.
