Tariffs

When are people going to learn, Trump talks all kinds of shyte to get you to pay attention. It doesn’t matter if you think he is right or if you think he is wrong, you are paying attention. Then when it shakes out, Trump was right AGAIN.

So let's see...stock market is back where it was before he tanked it. Tariffs are back to where they were before he changed them. He's made one deal so far with the UK, who will now buy more beef from us (because we have such a surplus of beef we desperately want to get rid of apparently) with whom we already have a trade surplus.

So much winning.

Gas prices are down generally across the nation, grocery prices as well, and inflation was down to what, 2.4% in April?

114 days into his term, I'll take it. 1,213 more days in this administration, I say sit back and see what happens.

As I’ve said before what he’s done is not all bad but it cracks me up all the pretending like this tariff business was some brilliant negotiating strategy when it was actually just him backing off the edge of the cliff he almost pushed the country from.

Oil prices are down and inflation has slowed due to global economic slowdown fears. That’s good I guess even if it’s something of a double edged sword.

I don’t know. The whole drug pricing thing is pretty epic. Of course, the left hates that.
The right used to hate price controls and there were good reasons for that, although I agree the drug pricing situation is out of control and something needs to change. It’s not exactly a free market if companies are allowed to monopolize drugs with the current patent system.

If drug companies are going to accept government money, they should be limited on what they can price drugs paid for with government r&d money

The idea is epic.
Hopefully the reality matches the talk and expectations.

same logic is true for last three generations but it didn't go well for sick Americans.

And to be more specific as it pertains to groceries, how about the price drop of the incredible edible egg!
Trump wasn’t in office for 2 months when the left started chomping at the bit for something to ***** about, particularly him not keeping his campaign promise of lowering egg prices.

Maybe they will make a drug for TDS , then he can lower that price and y’all can still come here and ***** and whine. If you can’t see our country is going in the right direction from what we had the previous 4 years you are stupid and blind. Keep eating crow, Trump will feed you the next 4 years.

You’ll have to let explain this reply
The pharma companies have be able to gouge Americans in need of drugs for generations, unlike in almost every other country because the laws and regs protect the interests of the drug makers over the American citizens.

This is flipped, at least in terms of pricing/access, in almost every other country. Given the timspan, the reason is clearly political.

Maybe, but I'll continue to have a glass half full attitude, rather than second guess everything. The MSM has done that for all of us, and when the narrative proves false, (the stock market did not collapse) they move on to another negative story. I give Trump credit for trying as opposed to past administrations that only did something if they personally gained financially or politically from it. While I don't have a crystal ball, I'd bet the country will be better off in November 2028 than it is today.

Maybe they’ll make a drug for Trump’s and some of your delusions of grandeur. It’s not TDS that someone doesn’t worship every single thing he says and does and believe there’s some secret, grand, genius motivation behind it all. He’s doing some good things, he’s also done some dumb things. Pointing that out does not make someone a hater. Saying you don’t like every single thing he does, doesn’t mean you would have preferred the alternative. I get y’all love him I don’t get the blind unquestioning worship of every single thing he says and does.

Would be much more interesting if people would debate the actual issues instead of immediately jumping to “You’re a hater! You have TDS! I guess you must love Biden”.

And just like that you reply when nobody mentioned you by name. The TDS is so strong you just can’t help yourself. Once again I’ll ask all haters are we better off in the last 100days or the previous 4 years. We are no longer the laughing stock of the world. We are respected once again on the world stage.

There are only two or three people in this thread who oppose anything Trump does. I assumed I was one of the people you were referring to.

Just like that we can't have a discussion about an individual issue without being called a hater, TDS, can't you see he's better than Biden...blah blah blah.

It just gets boring.

For the millionth time on this forum, yes, he's better than Biden. That doesn't mean he's flawless. You can point out someone's individual flaws or errors without "hating" them.
