I said it before all this went down, if Brady walks that is the end of me with the NFL. When you fail to punish cheating (and everyone outside of Boston knows he cheated) then the sport has become nothing more than pro wrestling. This is twice now with NE and basically nothing has happened. Throw in the fact that a once proud Steeler organization now employs a bunch of pot smokers because that is the only way to stay competitive and it's time for me to find something better to do with my time. The league has been going to hell a long time under Goodell and this decision is my breaking point. I want to thank all of you for the great experience of talking Steelers football for the past 11 years....I will miss this place for sure.
 
Hey man - don't leave because of that. We all knew that the suspension probably wasn't going to stick anyway...

At least meet us in the General Discussion Forums...
 
Thanks Bermuda...I really appreciate it. It's a matter of principle at this point. I just cannot pour my heart and soul in to a league that is so flawed.
 
I'm probably done with the NFL too. I will casually follow it, but it has lost its appeal over so much. Thank God for hunting and fishing.

I'll still be around, though. This place grows on a guy.

I'm sorry to see you go but man I completely understand where you're coming from. This league has become a collection of gangstas, drug addicts, and guys who are just there for the money and very little allegiance to their teams. Now you have the league's biggest prima donna in Brady who has done serious damage to the NFL by fighting something he has to know he's guilty of. Why did Kraft fire the two equipment employees if they thought nothing was done wrong? Total bullshit!
He cheated and got caught, period and in typical Brady fashion can't except the punishment and move on.And to make it worse, the NFL is led by a fool. Its sad to see what the Steelers have digressed to just to stay competitive but unfortunately that's what this league has come to. It all starts with the owners and the ridiculous amounts of money that they make and pay out to men who in mot cases are just thugs. This is not the NFL I grew up watching and yes I understand that things change but this has been a change for the worse. More and more folks are ditching the NFL so don't feel alone. I'm not far behind.

I really wish I could tell you that the beatdown the Steelers are gonna give Brady is going to be worth watching, but sadly I have a feeling it's going to be the other way around. And painful to watch.

I don't pay the NFL anything. I don't watch the games. I don't watch ESPN. I don't buy jerseys anymore. They've managed to suck just about all the enjoyment from the sport from me.

I come here to read about what happened in the games, I may check some stat lines. If Steeler Nation is forced to pay some bullshit royalties to the NFL, that's the closest the ******* get to my money.

You gotta look on the bright side. Getting beat down by Brady is a whole lot better than getting embarrassed by Jimmy Garoppolo. At least Brady has accomplished something in the league.
 
I wouldn't stop supporting the NFL over this. Goodell does a lot of things wrong, but if you want him to punish the cheaters, he's trying. This decision was made in the courts.

I definitely agree that the NFL has found so many ways to suck the fun out of the game and being a fan, but this isn't one of them. They're on your side with this, just failing miserably

Don't blame you in the least. I wish I could make a clean break.I hate the nfl now. Just pure hate.
 
I just dropped my 13 year subscription the the Sunday Ticket...later cheating cocksuckers....no more of my money.
 
I don't have the passion for football I used to, but I cannot stop watching games. It is to much a part of my life.

im in he same exact boat but I will add he Vick signing and coach homeboy still running the team are also a big part. The good thing is there are so many things out there to get into ive been less and less into the league every year. Won't watch another game and have been buying illegal merchandise for years it pays knowing people in the garment industry lol

Ben, I too have lost interest. From everything you listed and more. This sport is a cartoon rendering of what it was. However, I still will hang here at SN for G&G and GD. Been here way too long to leave this great online family. Stick around!
 
Im not surprised to see this and I love ya man. I used to eat, breath, drink and sleep footbal. It seems like all the fun has been sucked out of the game and it started with the Snow Bowl. That AFCC game should have been Oak/Pitt.

I said a couple of months ago and really for several years that there would be a falling out between Goodell, Kraft, Bitchmade Brady and Belicheat. It has apexed.

My roots are in Aliquippa. Its a proud football town and its loyal to the end. My entire life (born in 71) has been draped in BnG. Pens, Pirates, Steelers. Period. I have lived all over the West Coast and now Texas. That has never changed. Ive raised my child with the same passion and loyalty.

I have chosen to work a second job on Sundays and really couldnt care less that I will miss games. My friends and family are wondering if I need to be committed. I just dont care anymore.

My main man is in the HOF and I think Ive transitioned to a very casual fan.
