With the Combine starting tomorrow, there will be many eye openers. Just curious as to who YOU have an eye on.

PLEASE keep it to players the STEELERS have a realistic shot at obtaining (we aren’t taking a QB or RB).

I’m keeping an eye on ILB Sanders from Arkansas. He is slated late second early third. He’d be an immediate impact.

What say you Steeler Nation ?

Salute the nation

Drew Sanders for sure. Curious to see if Nolan Smith and Nick Herbig run any off the ball drills, I'd like to see how they look in off ball movement combined with their testing numbers.

Also want to see measurables of these underclassman DLineman that weren't at the bowl games (Ika, Bresee, etc.)

A mid round crush I like is CB Rejzohn Wright, he's not really being talked about, and I want to see his testing numbers and on field drills

Tank Dell - WR
Gervarrius Owens - S
Clayton Tune

I also want to see Tank Dell's numbers but realistically, if he blows them up........ he will be gone before our reasonable chance appears.

Tune won't last to the 7th.

Hoping Tank has added a few pounds and maintains his quick feet

Tune is why the Steelers need to trade back from the 32nd spot

get another 2nd and extra third and a 5th and 6th round picks

Cody Mauch should blow up at the combine.
#32

So just focusing on high mid to late round wrs there are two sets of wrs to pay attention to… the guys that can play slot and X in the DJ mold, who can be used as a #3 and eventual replacement for DJ.. and the bigger physical guys who can fill the Miles Boykin special teams role and play some X if pickens goes down

Guys in the first group I think we will be interested in

(Yeah coolie, your guy) Tank Dell
Marvin Mims ( who really might be a DJ clone/replacement)
Dontayvion Wicks. Probably the consensus mid round sleeper wr
Derius Devis ( this dude is totally going to get overdrafted when he runs his 40 at 4.3, but if he is there later he could be a mike wallace type one trick pony)

And some late round bigger guys
Donte Demus
Bryce Ford Wheaton
Joseph Ngata
Antoine Green

Dell said at the Senior Bowl that he wanted to be up to 170# by the combine

yes that is still light, but it is slightly better
Here is my thought on that. He is 23 correct? If he thought he was better at 170 why wasn't he 170 in college. Just because he can get to 170 for the combine and even run doesn't mean that is his actual playing weight.

In college he was fine where he was.

NFL evaluators want him a bit heavier so he stated he was going to work on adding a few pounds to satisfy them

But there in is the question. Is he putting on 10 for the dog and pony show and then back to 165 because he cannot maintain that in the heat of summer, grind of season.

the way the article read, he seems to want to increase to 170 and work to maintain that weight but who knows. the difference in his being able to handle NFL punishment at 170 vs 163 is negligible.

and it would be adding 7 pounds from his senior bowl weigh in

a cheeseburger shy of of being Dri Archer

I'm interested in CB numbers, Forbes, Smith, Banks, stevenson, ricks, cp3. All the 2nd round group

The workout warrior showcase.

Give me a lineman either side,who can bench 330 lbs 30 times and run a 4.4 40yd.

Even projected first rounders like Porter, he's a bit grabby and was beat deep a few times. Curious about 40 and 3 cone.

Interior offensive linemen, their 10 yard splits and shuttle. Torrence and a few others are big guys, we need guys that can get out IFO our running backs if we're going to be able to consistently run wide.

They already have the same guy in Calvin Austin III. Seriously, the team is going to have to TWO small, lightning-quick slot receivers?

Mazi - I think the over/under on his reps is 38.5.
Sanders - does he run under 4.65? If so, he becomes a top ILB prospect.
C. Gonzalez, CB - I hope he doesn't run under 4.40 as his coach predicts. If he does, he is gone before 17.
Ringo - the CB, not the drummer. He is getting critiqued and panned more and more. I think he runs 4.4's, HJ 38", does well in drills and moves back into top-15 territory.
