The Coronavirus thread

Other countries are not padding their numbers to get greater level of reimbursement from Govt by coding them wrong.

Yeah I'm hearing some just scandalous ****.

He got into a traffic accident and died? Probably because of Covid.✓

She suffered a stroke? Probably because of Covid.✓

He choked on a pretzel and no one knew the Heimlich? Probably because of Covid.✓

Nor are those country's ruling classes and bureaucracies so invested in ousting their current leader of the country which is probably what all of this goes back to with the origins in China and everything that has happened downstream since.

Well, some businesses here are being forced to close AGAIN because of this mask mandate. They know they will be out of work for at least a month until this mandate ends. I hate this for the workers and the owners. When is this all going to end??

I'm going to Cincy tomorrow for a date night and then shopping at Jungle Jims on Sunday. I just read that they have a horseshit mask mandate that started yesterday. These democrat mayors are using the same commie playbook. This is not about health and well being. It's about stalling the economy until the election and getting the sheep to conform. Here's how ridiculous it is: In both Indianapolis and Cincinnati, only the health department is going to enforce mask wearing. The police will not. IF you are a repeat offender, you are subject to a $25 dollar fine. How will they know you're a repeater if they don't issue citations? You can **** off. I've got your $25 right here. What are they going to do, extradite me from Indiana to pay it? I'll tell them I have asthma. Which may or may not be true, but I don't have to prove it because of hipaa.

Screw you, ********. :smiley-finger001:

What businesses are closing because of a mask mandate?

Bars and restaurants. They aren’t required to, buy they will lose a lot of revenue so they feel like they have to. It’s sad- they were just getting back on their feet. Also some thrift stores are closing until further notice as well.

It is more UVB rays than heat. Unfortunately, the heat has driven people indoors, where it is spread more easily.

Which shows the stupidity of the spring quarantines and lock downs that kept people indoors just as temp were rising

There were even early studies out of China saying that warmer temps slowed transmission.

Personally, I think think they're just testing more people. Death rates are declining. They're just trying to make political hay and frame this as something out of control to reflect poorly on Trump and less on governors and mayors.

Katrina 101.

They're doing a ton of testing. It's widely spread. The death rate is going down, because it's younger people getting it and spreading it.

I saw some % of positive tests over the last few days they ranged from 9-18% positive. We hit over 244,000 positive tests now, death rates i think 120 Thursday and 90 Friday .

The hospitalizations are going up as well. We do have a lot of older people in florida and damn near most have issues past 70 here, some a little younger. The country as a whole is not very healthy as it is.

Are they closing because of the mask mandate though? Or because the virus seems to be spreading in restaurants and bars and therefore people don't want to go to them. I'm not trying to be argumentative, I'm really just curious. The point of masks is to make it safer to be open. So closing because of mask mandates doesn't seem to make any sense.

My wallet and I are staying out of all Indianapolis businesses during the mandate. I'm not the only one. There are plenty of stores and restaurants immediately North of the city

You're going to punish your local businesses for something that's completely beyond their control? Ok.

I'll keep supporting my neighbors, even though I have to wear a piece of cloth on my face briefly.

The mask mandate. Apparently there are more regulations put on small businesses that weren’t made public. Once the business owners found out they would be restricted more, they decided to close temporarily. Either way they are losing money and it sucjs.

They elected their commie mayor. That's what they get. He's bad for business.

Apparently the Michigan State golf courses have started asking/requiring people to wear masks while they play. We cancelled some tee times this weekend as a result. I have no idea whether masks, and/or what type, are effective in any capacity. It seems to depend on who you ask. I personally have no problem wearing a "mask" when I'm in a grocery store, enclosed public spaces etc., but I'm certainly not going to wear one while golfing unless this just continues for the rest of my life. Technically, I don't even have a mask. I've just been wearing this Under Armor head gear thing that I have and pulling up the face shield when I enter an enclosed public area. There is talk that the governor may pass some kind of executive order mandating that people wear masks while outside.

There are studies now that show that cloth masks do limit the spread of droplets. They don't eliminate it of course. Mandating masks outdoors when not in crowded places would directly contradict the science. That is where I would draw the line.

Michigan has had some nonsense regulations. They will probably end up saying that you have to wear a mask when using woods and putting but when using irons you can be mask free, unless it’s a par 5.

You also have to wear a mask if you take a leak in a grove of evergreens on the front nine, but not if you piss behind a solitary oak tree. That MI Gov wench is real piece of work.

Were being groomed with the mask mandates. They call it creep, because it happens slowly.

All the signs I've seen here locally requiring masks are all in English. I haven't seen one sign with a Spanish translation. Oh what will we do?

Aren’t you in Oregon? I was there last week and there were no SPANISH translation signs. Then again, Oregon is like 99%white...lol.
