How many people died getting hit by cars yesterday? How many people did illegal aliens kill this week?

A minimum of 18,000 ((eighteen ******* thousand) people have died from the common flu this season (in the US alone) and no one gives a ****. Call me when / if this even goes to half that number. Then maybe I'll buy an extra box of cereal for the kids.

The Spanish government led the Spaniards to believe that, for some mysterious reason we were immune to this virus.

Then they admitted we didn’t have 374 coronavirus cases but in fact more than 1,200, an evolving disaster equal to or worse than the Italian one.

Today there is even more painful news out of Italy: with overcrowded ICUs, doctors are having to choose which patients to prioritize. “Like in a war, we have to choose who to save,” says anesthesiologist Christian Salaroli, from a hospital near Milan, who decided to speak in the Corriere della Sera because, in his opinion, “the vast majority of Italians do not know the seriousness of what is happening in the hospitals.” Salaroli gives only one piece of advice: “Don’t leave the house, it is the only way to contain the spread.”

And most are correct, it's going to attack the elderly and the immune deficient. The shutdown of schools, travel, large events flattens the curve, and stops healthy people from being carriers and spreading it to the populations that have no way to fight it.

Shares of Carnival Corp. slid by more than 17% in morning trading Thursday after its Princess Cruises line announced it is immediately suspending all operations for two months due to concerns over the rapidly spreading COVID-19 pandemic.

Stocks fall to coronavirus sell-off lows

U.S. stocks fell sharply once again on Thursday after an address from President Donald Trump failed to quell concerns over the possible economic slowdown from the coronavirus

The S&P 500 traded down 6.5% after trading was paused due to a 15-minute “circuit breaker,” which temporarily halts trading at the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq.

The broad index also joined the Dow Jones Industrial Average in bear market territory. The 30-stock Dow slid more than 1,700 points, or 7.3%.

The Nasdaq Composite dropped 6%.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — A passenger aboard a JetBlue flight from New York's Kennedy Airport arrived at Palm Beach International Airport as a positive coronavirus case, Palm Beach Fire Rescue said early Thursday morning.

Flight 253 landed at 8:53 p.m. from JFK, but the plane remained on the tarmac instead of proceeding to gate C12. Passengers departed the aircraft around 10:45 p.m., according to PIX11 sister station WPTV.

"The person across the way from me was taken to the back of the plane. He was wearing masks and gloves. His wife was sitting in the same row as me and mentioned to others that he wasn't feeling well. She said he had gotten a phone call with his test results right before we had taken off, implying that he had a positive test but not actually saying it"

Wow... seriously? The market is falling because nimrods let the wal marts of the world force 80% of our basic manufacturing into china to use slave labor for minimal profit increases and now that china is compromised, those supply chains are going to backlog everything... this is a 30 year old chicken coming home to roost... but its also pretty short term... as soon as the bell curve plays out and the virus is widespread and common, there will be a big rebound... markets were overvalued before, now they are heinously undervalued...

Plan for disruption like this, use tarrifs to offset the use of near slave labor wages so this **** doesn’t happen again...
 
I guess if I were in charge, I would recommend Congress seriously look at suspending elections and calling for martial law until this issue is resolved.

Not a pretty picture, Cope. 2-14 days it can survive on surfaces though, that's a big window. I'll assume the 14 days are rare cases? Because in your next sentence you say 48 hrs on steel to 48 hours on cardboard. Your points 4 & 5 are indeed sobering, I've heard it as well.
