If there's an upside, for the first time in our 17 year marriage Mrs. Burgundy is cooking dinner since she has to work from home and I don't. Her cooking skills are mostly limited to frozen pizza and microwave popcorn but last night's meatloaf was pretty good.

Fair enough, but this was in response to Obama's tweet about ignoring the threat, which he did, and coming off the swine flu and any contrary to direct advise about restocking, did nothing for 6 years, so he needs to shut up.

It's called a range. Between this number and that number. Worst case is 100K - 240K. Everyone is hoping the numbers are much less. But you want to carelessly run around the board making the numbers look as if they were the bottom line. Yes, it can be deadly. To 99% of the population it will NOT be deadly. Once anti-body testing is available it may be well less than 1% as nobody knows how many people had mild symptoms or were asymptomatic. Should I post videos showing how heart disease, cancer, Alzheimers...etc kill people and why a surgeon can't save them either? There are plenty of things in life that can kill you that no doctor will be able to save you from...some people just choose not to go thru life acting scared to death of everything that could kill them. Maybe some of the people freaking out could go visit Dr. Leo Marvin and pick up his book "Baby Steps"

Evangelist Jonathan Shuttlesworth says he will hold an “outdoor Easter blowout service,” even though Florida pastor Rodney Howard-Browne was arrested Monday for holding services Sunday, potentially placing attendees at risk for spreading or catching COVID-19.
“I’m gonna announce it. … We’re gonna hold an outdoor Easter blowout service. Not online. A national gathering. You come from all over, like Woodstock. And we’re gonna gather and lift up Jesus Christ,” he said.

That movie was hilarious. You hit the nail on the head with that.
So as not to waste your time I watched it and most of it we already know so I'll summarize up to 25 min of the video.
From the 25:00 minute mark you can watch form your own opinions about the impending doom and gloom.
First of all the title "we cant save you" is misleading, he never said that unless he is implying it due to the shortage of ventilators.
"Corona kills you like your pimp does when he holds your head under toilet water".
I'm not kidding, that's what he said paraphrased.
He said 80% of the cases are mild, no hospitalization.
20% hospitalized. Half of those will need to be in intensive care, and half of those will need ventilators, and that we don't have enough ventilators.
Most susceptible to dying have pre-existing conditions, but now some younger people are dying including docs and nurses.
In short the virus causes cell destruction. Cell damage causes the air sacs in the lungs (alveoli) and the interstitual space to fill up with fluids making you suffocate. We are all familiar with the term for this. It's called pneumonia. Lack of oxygen to vital organs causes death.
He guestimates 1,000,000 cases in the US. Peaking in mid May.
He says those saying Corona is politically motivated or media hype needs ***** slapped.

Again, 100,000 is worst case and 2.4 times that many is also worst case? 140,000 individual worst case possibilities? That’s a huge range, is it not? Why not just say 240,000 worst case?
Again, it’s not me saying this. Trump and his administration have said it the past two days and last week as well.
The people panicking are the ones getting angry at people for merely repeating the OFFICIALS’ projection.

I didn't say "It's just the flu" and I wouldn't, because that would imply that the flu is insignificant and not a serious illness that can and does kill large swaths of people.
They are both mild illnesses in many people, both also potentially serious illnesses that kill large swaths of people, especially people who have weakened immune systems or underlying conditions, but only one of them has people literally losing their ******* minds with sheer panic.
Now, I understand the fact that without any immunity or vaccines coronavirus spreads much more quickly, which is a big problem for our healthcare system. And that is why these mitigation measures have to be taken. What it isn't is something that should make all of us live in fear of imminent death.

From everything I have read Obama’s contracts totally screwed us. Theoretically yes had Trumps administration had a years warning about this things would have been different. I am not even blaming Obama so much as just bureaucracy in general. **** like this never gets fixed by either Party until their is a reason to that focuses the spotlight on it. Way to many Monday morning QBs blaming Presidents instead of blaming the system. Trump is the first one that has had the will to try and change the system. I don’t think it was ever really put on his desk until now to be a priority to fix.

His people who are making these estimates really aren't "his people." The CDC on down have all made predictions. They are ALL walking them back now. Yesterday saying now they think the death rate will be closer to 0.066%, not over 1% or near 3% as many of them were saying....
You keep living on "estimates" and guesses of where this may go. So, I'll ask you again to answer the questions:
Did you advocate the same country-wide lock down during H1N1? Did you rail on and on about Bammy doing nothing about it until 10,000 Americans perished? And did you object that the day he declared a national emergency (after the 10,000 deaths) that he went golfing?
