The Coronavirus thread

It was taken out of context and meant as a joke, but you would think by now he would realize the press would play it for all its worth.

You serious? Then he’s even more of a ******* moron for joking about attempts to treat a deadly disease for which there is no cure.

I have gone in to my office everyday since this started, I have been out on a dozen construction sites doing draw inspections, have been around hundreds of other workers. I have not heard of a single case of Covid-19 on any of the construction projects anywhere. It just doesn't add up. If it is as contagious as we are being led to believe, it should be hitting hard in the construction industry and by and large, that is not the case.

We have had a couple window install crews get it, none severe. Our owner as I have mentioned also had it and he just came off a vent after two weeks sedated. He will be going home next week.

I think I get what he was trying to say and the LIKE he injects(no pun intended) into the wording is important but he sometimes does verbalize his ideas as well as he should. Sometimes though I think he does it on purpose just get people riled up and talking about it so he can do other things while he has them distracted.

Yeah I think you’re giving him a little too much credit honestly.

There’s no cure for cancer...have you ever made an off color remark or joke about that?

I'll bite...

Doctor to old man: "I have bad news. You have cancer and Alzheimer's."
Old man to doctor: "Well, at least I don't have cancer."

You’re sick...lol. I did laugh at that though, so I guess I’m sick too.

lock the doors, keep the PJs on, grab your security blanket and hide under the kitchen table.

Doctor- "Joe, tests came back. Sorry but you have terminal cancer"
Joe- "Doc, how long do I have?"
Doctor- "You have 6 weeks"
Joe-" Doc, is there anything I can do?"
Doctor - "Quit you job, marry a Jewish girl, and move to Cleveland."
Joe- "Doc, will that help?"
Doctor- "No, but it will be the longest 6 weeks of your life."

Think about it...if you are supposed to wear gloves to go grocery shopping, shouldn’t you either be sanitizing your gloves after EVERY ITEM YOU TOUCH or be changing gloves after every item? If the Rona is THAT contagious, then gloves won’t help.

Yeah I mean you’re touching stuff with gloves that you are then going to bring into your house, put in your cupboards and eat. Just don’t touch it while it’s in the grocery store.

I don’t wear gloves. I do wash my hands when I get home.

This is one of those things that don't add up that makes the average person with a minimum of average intellect say hmmm...someone's lying to me. All things we have heard or been told or know:

  • Rona can live on cardboard up to 24 hours
  • Rona can live on cardboard up to 5 hours
  • Rona can be transmitted via farts
  • Rona can be carried and spread on the bottom of shoes
  • Don't touch your face or your eyes or your nose
  • Rona can be spread airborne up to 23 feet
  • Rona can be spread airborne up to 5 feet
  • You must maintain 6 feet of separation
  • Getting takeout food made by other humans stuffed into cardboard boxes, plastic bags and filled with plastic utensils and napkins is safe
  • FDA: There is no evidence you need to wipe down every food container obtained from a grocery store
  • Having packages delivered by UPS and FedEX and Amazon to your home is utterly safe
  • Food containers (boxes) in stores have been handled in the supply chain by countless humans countless times before being put on shelves
  • Masks do nothing to prevent the spread of Rona
  • Local jurisdictions are now mandating the wearing of masks

Yeah...no one has a clue. Everything is knee-jerk reacting.

A twisted, demented little Arktuary sent this to me so I cannot take credit.

So... what was he suggesting? I’ll be right back, I’m gonna make some popcorn!

Her tweet says "recommending" which is what the Liberal media has turned this into - that he recommended Americans to try this. You are asking what he was suggesting. Two different things, neither of which involve what he said. He neither suggested nor recommended.

Trump's comments:

“I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute,” Trump said. “One minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning?”

Trump also asked Deborah Birx, a physician and the White House coronavirus task force coordinator, about using “the heat and the light” as a coronavirus treatment.

“Not as a treatment,” she responded.

Can you point to either a recommendation or a suggestion? I see that he asked questions though.

Meanwhile, our Government continues to enforce their Authoritarian powers bypassing citizens' rights

Organizer of California stay-at-home protest could face criminal charges
https://www.latimes.com/california/...-face-criminal-charges-as-authorities-respond

With protesters taking to the streets urging the loosening of California’s stay-at-home orders, law enforcement agencies have made at least two arrests and may press charges in one case.

In San Diego, a woman who police say organized a weekend protest could face a misdemeanor charge for allegedly encouraging others to violate stay-at-home orders meant to slow the spread of COVID-19.

The California Highway Patrol, meanwhile, announced it would no longer grant protest permits on state grounds unless they are approved by public health officials. The decision came after a rally to reopen California occurred outside the state capitol on Monday. The CHP announcement was first reported by the Sacramento Bee.

Over the last few days, there have been protests in San Diego, Newport Beach, Sacramento, Huntington Beach and San Clemente.

I do too, after everything has been put away. We do curbside pickup at my store and the precautions we employees go through just for a 10 second OUTDOOR interaction with a customer is crazy. It takes a good 5 minutes to sanitize, glove and mask up, bag and sanitize the items, and carry it to the car. Of course we have to maintain 6 feet- kinda hard to give a customer his item through the car door at 6 feet, but whatever. Then when we are done, we have to discard the mask, either sanitize or replace our gloves, wash our hands, and sanitize the scanner we used. What should be a minute transaction from start to finish now takes 10-15.

Well, that does it. They've cancelled the Indiana Black Expo. Now Ima riot. Somebody get me a brick.

On a side note, that's the event where Mike Tyson raped Desiree Washington. The first ex-Mrs.IndySteel worked for Greg Garrison at the time, the State's prosecuting attorney. They had so much overwhelming evidence that Tyson was guilty they didn't even need to use a lot of it.
