The Coronavirus thread

You can believe what you want....I am just done with the nastiness and childish behavior. I have never voted for a dem and won't this year, but i am also not voting for Trump again.

Which is in essence a vote for nothing. May as well not even waste your time.

As far as nasty goes you haven’t seen anything yet. This is nothing. You can't treat these folks like normal logical humans. They don't have any logic or decency. The end justifies the means no matter the cost.

So being nice with a group who are their own gods with absolutely zero ethics, morals or standards isn't going to be fruitful.

The days of nice are long gone. Not until this fundamental leftist change gets destroyed.

Biden has the cure for covid-19 and he will make it rain PPE up in here. You have to vote Biden

Biden will make it rain with so much PPE it'll make your head spin. Kind of like his head spins every morning till they give him his 'medicine'.

Trump shifted plants to make ventilators and could have done so for other plants to make gowns, masks, etc etc. Not sure what is so hard to understand about that
- October 18, 2020

Sure all this sounds great, but its not reaching where it is supposed to go.
- October 20, 2020

Great job walking it back.

Jitter: He should have had plants make PPE
TSF: He did. Here are links showing companies all around the country that switched production to make PPE.
Jitter: Well it didn't work as well as it should have.

This is one of the reasons SteelerNation is worth the donation. Pure entertainment you just can't make up.

Huh, first ICS never said how they were using the PPE (how long are they re-using masks / gowns) etc etc.....2nd once you have COVID in the building protocols change and you obviously burn through more stuff. 3rd we have never been out of PPE, and 4th just because a certain groups of homes has more supply does not mean every home gets it. I am sure some of the allotment goes to how big of a customer you are and has 0 to due with mismanagement. If XYZ company owns 50 homes and spends a mil / yr on supplies obviously companies will cater to them first. Joe Smith owns 1-2 homes he will be out of luck. If the medical companies say your company can get xx supplies per week/month thats it. If you do not have a contract with someone most are not allowing orders or taking new customers because why? Hint: they dont have enough product. Lets put this in perspective. If my home which has about 66 total resident rooms used PPE as intended you are looking at close to 1k gowns per day. Some homes are massive and would be using 5 - 6x that amount. It is impossible to keep up with that demand. Anyone that tells you otherwise is either lying or companies are supplying only to them and screw everyone else. Trump knew the stock pile was depleted and had 3 yrs to restock it and didnt care or chose not to. Just because the guy before you left a mess does not mean you can continue to blame him. At some point you have to own it. If life safety came to my place and the previous maint. director left me a broken generator and I did not get it fixed guess who takes the hit? Trump never takes responsibility for anything negative and blames whoever is convenient at the time

socialism sucks in healthcare? do tell more.

your insistence on blaming Trump for the lack of masks and PPE is misguided. While Trump should shoulder some of that blame, the "previous administration" should be assigned more blame. They were the ones who used up the stockpile and did not replenish what they used. Both administrations should share the blame. However, "elections have consequences" and the Dims were up Trump's *** before inauguration, thus some things slid off the plate of importance. This is what happens when whiny little ***** kids whine and ***** for 3+ years.

Sure all this sounds great, but its not reaching where it is supposed to go. If health care used PPE as we normally would everyone would be out. N95s have been hit and miss, but we were able to stockpile a good many of those, right now they are hard to get again. Basic isolation gowns are on an allotment which alone would no where cover our usage. We have light weight plastic blue gowns which we are lucky to get 100 / week. Early on we got a huge shipment of like 15k heavyweight blue "gowns", but they are like a huge garbage bag and we have been digging into those. On our one COVID hall we are supposed to change gowns in / out each room. I have to play housekeeper because I am down staff. Just myself I would burn through 20 gowns. Tray passes would be 120 gowns (3 meals pass and pickup). The hall nurse's do 5 med passes there goes another 100 gowns. That is not even taking into account routine CNA care. Then you have residents who need water, they need pulled up etc etc.....You looking at least 300 gowns on just one hall daily.

Could it be that your employers policy is the issue rather than lack of PPE? Burning through 20 gowns in a single shift seems excessive, but what do I know, for a virus that the means of contraction is known.

Time to circle the wagons against the Death and Lying Cult owned by China, sack up, and vote for Trump even if you have to hold your nose.

They're already fantasizing and ideating about "Truth and Reconciliation Committee" trials if Trump loses.

We have been making PPE since early May. I work for a very large automotive company. I helped set up the equipment. This was within days of Trump asking the private sector to get involved.

Jitter:
Have you considered that your employer is one of those companies that may not have the skillset or plan to survive?

Perhaps you should consider options, so that when future business decisions negatively affect you, you do not feel compelled to blame the next POTUS.

You are right it is a vote for nothing just like when people vote for trump in California. Trump has as much chance of winning California as Mickey Mouse does. Unfortunately you are right about politicians, but it is not just the lefties.

It's not really our policy it is following recommendations from the dept of health. There are 20 rooms and if your changing gowns every room that's 20 gowns. Like i said that is just the housekeeper. If protocols are followed its 300 gowns per day on that hall. Yesterday the dept of health was in here and the only change they recommended was instead of changing gowns in the red zone change them in the yellow zone. So now your looking at 32 vs 20 rooms where your supposed to change gowns every time your in and out of a room. Previously we were all yellow and using a little more than 100 gowns a day total. Now if we follow the recommended guidelines we will be looking at close to 600 daily

California has opportunity to turn away from the path it's on. They'll have no choice but to collapse under the weight of it's own debt and tax burden on its residents.

They didn't go off the deep end overnight from being republican. They're also fleeing that state. Just wait until all of Bidens taxes kick in. They will **** bricks.

Trump is obnoxious. That obnoxious New Yorker f you tone isn't welcoming. I get it. He's never going to be a sweet talker. He is a patriot and I do believe he absolutely wants our country to prosper above all.

He will never be that polished politician we're used to.Being made to feel are warm and fuzzy shouldn't matter.I have to commend him for always pushing forward no matter what is thrown at him. And he's had more downright treasonous stuff done to him in his tenure than any president I can recall. He's a flawed man, we all are. But he's genuine in his push to keep the United States prospering as a whole.

The other option is the democrat party moving in with a massive agenda in mind. They don't even try to hide it. I don't even know what to call them anymore. The party of failed European ideas who mean to subject and not govern. They mean to rule.

They speak of unity, but that's a complete lie. It's always the opposite.
My choice for president is already in congress. He surrounds himself with talent and has checked off every box anyone could ask for. Got to wait 4 years for any hope of that reality.

If you don’t vote for Trump, you are voting FOR socialism and are you anti-American. That is not disputable.

They can vote for some third party guys and avoid the socialism problem, but voting for Biden is a real problem.

I still have not seen anyone give a good reason to vote for him, except orangemanbad.

So soldiers and what not who don't vote for Trump are anti-american? That would be an interesting conversation........

So your using 1 soldier? At best Trump probably has the military 70-30. So your saying 30% of the military is anti-american?

Not necessarily. . What I'm saying is that it would be interesting conversation... in terms that there are all kinds in the military just as there are all kinds in the general public. The low information types, haters, those that believe govt. should pay for everything.
.
Voting for a democrat is un-American, it's just that soldiers that do don't know it.

My daughter graduated from West Point and was amazed by some of the garbage they let in.
