The Coronavirus thread

I'm coughing a little more today and my sinuses feel funny. Still waiting on test results. The fever I had Sunday night is what concerned me.

My 'Rona test came back negative. Just a cold apparently.

Can you imagine when an actual deadly pandemic makes it's way to our shores?

More people died from Covid yesterday than were killed on 9/11. At what point does it become an “actual deadly” pandemic? The US had 50% more deaths yesterday alone than Japan has had since the pandemic began.

Cuomo showed malice = he knew the probable consequences of the act were dangerous to human life and acted with conscious disregard for life.

What would Cuomo’s motive have been, Tim? And down the rabbit hole you go!

Who else should be charged with Covid related murder? Hosts of super-spreader events? CMOs of Hospitals that become overwhelmed with Covid patients while simultaneously being understaffed due to Covid?

In the United States, 2.6 million die each year. That is 7123 each day, 297 each hour, and 5 each minute. We are losing far many more people to other maladies and situations we can better control, like car accidents and heart disease.

Yet we don't see your bleeding vagina wailing about anything other than COVID, because the preachers of your religion told you this is a hill for you to die on. You are as outrageously, selectively biased as Tibs and no one takes you seriously.

And I'll jump on the bandwagon too...why don't you pony up and pay some ******* dues, especially given how much space you waste here. ****.

"the population of Japan is ~125.5 million people (207.1 million more people live in United States"....Sooo...there's that small nugget of information.

Also Japan is very racist and closed their borders immediately.

Jesus!

100X (and rapidly increasing) > 2.6X

Japan is also a FAR healthier population than the USA and COVID is particularly deadly for the unhealthy

Strange all the hostility then...

You do realize it is possible not to take you seriously while simultaneously face palming and saying WTF each time you open your pie hole?

Never mind, probably too much for you to digest.

Jesus!

100X (and rapidly increasing) > 2.6X

say again, Flogtard? looks like the US numbers yesterday were less percentage-wise than those in Japan. I'd suggest you move your **** over there, but it would be costly. and since you cant scrape up enough to legitimize your existence here, there's no way you're capable of moving across the pacific.

Also this...

"No restrictions were placed on residents’ movements, and businesses from restaurants to hairdressers stayed open. No high-tech apps that tracked people’s movements were deployed. The country doesn’t have a center for disease control. And even as nations were exhorted to “test, test, test,” Japan has tested just 0.2% of its population — one of the lowest rates among developed countries."

The fact that numerous studies have shown that the virus has already mutated at least once is all you need to know about any potential vaccine. In addition, the fact that people have supposedly been re-infected within 4-6 months should also tell you how effective a vaccine is really going to be.

Fascinating (even though you conveniently left out anything to do with total populations).

Now do cancer rates for the respective countries, copy/paste boy.

Wow, find that pretty hard to believe actually. It's like they, through thousands of years of trials/tribulations/experience and no concern for fear porn, are more focused on actual diet and health and not trying to 'control' a contagious virus.

Irrefutable evidence that the Japanese are suicidal maniacs.

TEST, TEST, TEST, find out 800,000 people have the Chinese flu, did not even know they did, so SHUTDOWNS NEEDED.

Because Floggy hates traffic.

The fact that numerous studies have shown that the virus has already mutated at least once is all you need to know about any potential vaccine.

Mutation does not necessarily mean a vaccine won't work. All viruses undergoes slight mutations all the time but many retain enough similar features that antibodies against one mutation will work against others.

In addition, the fact that people have supposedly been re-infected within 4-6 months should also tell you how effective a vaccine is really going to be.

Again, not necessarily. The numbers of reinfected people at this point is tiny. Every viral illness will have some people whose immunity will be shorter lived or not exist at all. You can get measles or mumps after getting the vaccine for example, but it's rare.

Now do cancer rates for the prospective countries, copy/paste boy.

He also overlooked that the cure in Japan is worse than the virus itself.

Suicide claimed more Japanese lives in October than 10 months of COVID

Provisional statistics from the National Police Agency show suicides surged to 2,153 in October alone, marking the fourth straight month of increase.

To date, more than 17,000 people have taken their own lives this year in Japan. October self-inflicted deaths were up 600 year on year, with female suicides, about a third of the total, surging over 80%.

Earlier this year, U.S. researchers warned that the pandemic could trigger 75,000 "deaths of despair," stemming from unemployment, lack of social contact and other mental health stressors.

These lives don't matter to the Coronabros. Not all lives are equal.

The U.S. is on pace to see 75,000 Covid deaths in December.

You know what professions are seeing an increase in suicides in the U.S.? ER and ICU workers.

But Japan Floggy...but Japan....great deflection though.

And you conveniently leave out that suicides among the young are DRASTICALLY up. Oh, that goes against your little narrative that it's affecting health care workers? Sorry

------------------

Over a third (37%) of young Americans 18-24 report having thoughts of death and suicide and close to half (47%) show at least moderate symptoms of depression, according to a new nationwide survey by researchers from Harvard Medical School, Rutgers University–New Brunswick, Northeastern, Harvard and Northwestern universities.

Researchers say this is about ten times the rate observed in the general population prior to COVID-19.
