One can't argue logically with someone that thinks emotionally and responds with nothing more than rhetoric.

I saw a post on FB this morning about BLM shutting down I-95 in New Haven, CT. The guy that posted it is someone I knew from HS and deep into the liberal mindset. All of the responses he got were slobbering all over it with "institutional racism" and oppression. I wanted to say that I hope no one needed to get to the hospital, but knew it would do no good. Ideology trumps common sense.

My take as well, but different strokes for different folks. I know Steeltime and TSF (among others) always make well-reasoned, cogent arguments backed up by evidence - but the only ones reading it? Us.

Anybody honestly think that trolling lunatic even bats an eye, let alone actually reads anything that flies in the face of his unhinged little 'reality'?

Exactly, if everyone would stop engaging with his trolling bullshit, then maybe he would come down a few levels and actually have meaningful debate. Sorry, I'm an optimist...but who am I kidding. :LOL:

My facility did not get hit as hard as some others in the area at least staff wise. My one housekeeper who is retirement age tested positive (PCR test) had no symptoms. Our protocol is we do not test for 3 months if you had covid. Anyways she was around the 2.5 month mark and was pretty sick. She has alot of other health issues so didn't think much of it. They let her get tested again and she was positive. She had pneumonia with covid and was in the hospital almost a week. Our lady in the kitchen who was vaccinated end of Jan and got Covid the 2nd time was also sicker than the first. Other 2 were asymptomatic 2nd time. In the other facility i mentioned the staff only had minor symptoms the 2nd time. I am not sure how sick they were 1st time.
If you are not constantly being tested there is no way to know what true reinfection rates are. In my area nursing home staff / residents were getting tested weekly and even 2x a week for a while. Non health care workers are not getting tested like that so if you had covid and got it again and were asymptomatic you would not have a clue. It is impossible to say how many cases were like that. Now the new guidelines say if your vaccinated you do not need to be tested unless your symptomatic or there is a new case in your facility.
The main question I have is if you are asymptomatic is the virus causing underlying damage that may not show up?

My manager had Covid and was out for a solid week. He just got his first vaccination shot 5 days ago and has been out with Covid symptoms since. Called off again this morning. This virus is all sorts of ****** up and we still don't have a handle on it after a year of trying to understand. I'm keeping my head down and my MRNA intact until the science is more mature...or until you vaccinated folks start craving brains and I get to have live target practice. :cool:

Welp, it's over. May as well go on and shut this thread down soon. VA and even ultra-crazy-blue Massachusetts got rid of all of their mandates.

The Left didn't shriek. Didn't call them neanderthals. Richard Madcow didn't get her iron panties in a knot. CNN didn't lecture the world that their Governors are stupid and would get everyone killed....

Like they did when TX, MS, and FL took these steps months ago and showed everyone there's nothing to fear.

It's been good to be right.

It's been a crime what our Government did to us. The most vulnerable should have been protected while the rest of us lived our lives during a "pandemic" that 80% affected the elderly and the obese. It was a "pandemic" that couldn't harm kids or college age folks. It was a "pandemic" that was less deadly than the flu for those 60 and under.

Our approach was upside down wrong.

biden hasn't done one damn thing except continue what President Trump got rolling. the media screamed there was no was a vaccine would be out in 2020...but it was...why? Because President Trump cleared the way for it to happen.

Only the most dimwitted people on the planet think President Biden has accomplished anything in regards to this pandemic. Hell all he has done is be wrong about what would happen when Red states started lifting the restrictions.
