i wonder what it was that made him become expendable to them. as someone pointed out, these allegations and accusations and the victims certainly cropped up quickly.

I'm pretty sure it had to do with the fact that there were too many dems running for the governor's seat in CA, and their votes were getting spread thin. This gave rise to successful GOP possibilities. That will never do, so some must die for the good of the sheep.
