At his advanced age, Harrison can still get off blocks and I'm not sure what Jones problem is, but he should take some ****** martial arts or something, cause he just has no hand placement whatsoever. He just gets enveloped. They have to figure something out with that guy or he will be out of the league by the end of next season. He just can't do it. And you can really see the contrast when you have a real pro like Harrison in there compared to him. It is night and day.

End of next season....we really have to wait that long ? JJ = fail ..he is a great dance partner for whomever is blocking him..

Harrison is our best pass rushing OLB and it's not close, Worlds has a moment here or there, but half of his sacks are when the qb holds the ball or he's unblocked, definitely not getting 9million out of him.

Stop trying to compare ANYONE to Harrison. It's dumb. Jones is still not 100%, I'm not saying he's going to explode on the scene any time soon, but he is still playing with a cast on his hand, does not have the strength he had at the beginning of the year still (and prob won't the rest of the year). Jones is more of a Joey Porter type OLB. Completely different types of players, Jones is also still learning and having Harrison and Porter to learn from is a pretty good place to be. I'll worry about Jones next year and not compare him to one of the best LBer's in Steelers history after his second year (where he missed the majority of the year)...

And just an FYI, I HATED the pick, did not want any part of him... but seriously try and be a little more serious when trying to make comparisons.

it's scary to think where this team would be if we didn't coax JH out of retirement. He was a beast yesterday! I have nothing to say about JJ, because I have nothing good to say. I consider Bell our #1 Draft Pick from 2013. He is the stud of that class.

Jones is no Porter.....Joey had 10.5 sacks his second season to go along with forced fumbles and interceptions. If this guy is still learning by season 3 he's been at the position a year too long.

Seems to me the biggest difference is strength along with technique. James is scary strong. Jarvis is probably average. James is one of those once in a decade players - tough for anyone to follow.

Also, Porter had to make the transition from 4-3 DE in college. Having played 3-4 OLB in college, Jones' transition should be much quicker and easier.

Jones is just overmatched athletically and physically.

Where was Harrison playing his 2nd season?

You're comparing a young kid to a man 12 seasons in. Jones will get his chance to contribute more but the comparison isn't apple to apple

It's definitely not apple to apples, as Harrison was undrafted, while Jones was a first round pick.

Not only that but Jones is no kid. He is already 25 so that means he is only a little over 3 years younger than Timmons.

Jones may be 25, but at least he was on the field his first season. Harrison was still bouncing around.

How is he going to improve getting off blocks. And if anyone thinks Harrison is scary strong with his shity back and knees they are joking. He just has way better technique. Jones is 25 years old. He is at the strongest fastest and most agile he will ever be. His technique is shity and he can't make up for it in either strength or speed. It will be a wasted pick.

The haters here are funny. We make the playoffs and they keep finding new ways to hate. Did you ******* see Dri Archer get a few snaps? Hate away donkey's.

On one play, when Dri went out into a pattern, TWO people went over to cover him, too.

James Harrison should be referred to as a "MAN", not a "man". Hard to compare anyone to him. He has busted his *** to get where he is. I thought he was done. Glad to see his body enjoyed the rest he got in Bungleland.

I just don't like that the only move Jones seems to try is the Mendenhall spin-o-rama. He shows little technique. It is like he doesn't even try any other move or see if something different will work. I have seen improvement in the run game from him though.

If anything, Jones is trending to be another Worilds....a guy who will give you 40-50 tackles and 5-6 sacks a season. Nowhere near what I would expect from a Steeler OLB drafted that high. Not even Clark Haggans 2.0

It's well known that Harrison took so long to catch on because of the mental part of the game. He has admitted many times that he was just lost. Still the coaches saw somthing in him. For all of our star players, regardless of how productive they were thier first few years in the league, you could always tell they had potentionl. They showed flashes that gave us hope. Timmons was feast or fammine. People thought Troy was a bust even though his incredible athleticism was clearly evident. Even McCullers has us all excited. I could go on and on. But, what has Jones showed through his second year? What flash has he given us?

He may have had them. The past couple years, I find it much easier to walk away from the TV when the defense is on the filed, but for those moments I'm intently watching, I've seen nothing from him to make me think he's ging to be a star...or even a solid contributer.

I would like nothing more then to see Harrison win SB MVP and hand the trophy to his kids, and say...here guys this is for you....Steelers nation I love ya, but it's family time.

And likely laying on his back. he did not seem impressive anytime he was here that I can remember, even Duce has him beat in the sideline department.
