The Epstein Problem

Trump painted himself into a corner here. He runs partially on releasing these files, Bondi claims to have the list, then the list doesn't exist. To make matters worse Trump himself asked why we are still talking about Epstein. Regardless of Trump's involvement or not it is certainly not a good look. Whatever is released now will be under heavy scrutiny because they have had time to edit stuff. The only issue would be if Maxwell spoke up and said stuff was omitted or false. She would probably not do that without a deal.

He absolutely handled this poorly. But, the fact is that his few examples compared to the dem's many, many bad examples compare nothing. Not a chance that there is a candidate who would do everything you think that he/she should, even if you were that candidate. So, observe it, comment on it, and move on. Unless he is selling out our economy, security, constitution, etc., let it go.

Or something like that.
 
Still makes me wonder if something isn't happening in the background. Hopefully he is using the list as leverage to get some people in line.

Then again, it wouldn't surprise me if it was all made up too.

My only issue without having seen the files, as none of us have, is really how many people if any are named that are totally innocent versus having actually been guilty? I doubt there is a ledger that makes it as clear as we would all like if there is one at all. Epstein was a despicable human being, but he wasn't an idiot. He was brought down mainly by direct witness testimony and not so much by files. If all they can produce is a list of his contacts without context and proof, it tells us nothing and puts peoples reputations at stake. If they release information that isn't fully damning they better be ready for the blowback.

This is true innocent people could get caught in the crossfire, however they reportedly have 1000s of videos / photos. Identify those people and release those names. If people try to fight it release a pic....Its not really that difficult. Over 1000 victims have been supposedly identified and 0 offenders other than Epstein and Maxwell have been identified that I know of.

I cannot believe that in this, OrangeManBad's third term, that he's still not released the files we're ALL wanting to see - regardless of who is on them.

However, I can also attempt to understand that just because someone visited that ****** island, they were not 100% complicit in what went on there. Some may not have even known. Yet their names are attached to the files for visiting.

As bad as it sounds - someone needs to review the video tapes and cross check the visitor lists to see who was there and participated. Then we can have a list of who visited and who was actionable while there. That would clear things up.

Maybe - finally - sane, reasonable conservatives will begin to see the light.

Unless there are witnesses willing to testify, a list, assuming one exists, is nothing more than accusations, that will turn into a pissssing contest.
While we would ALL like these pieces of scum brought to justice, a simple list of names would only be the first step in finding answers, innocent until proven guilty, 'nat.
 
The way Trump keeps doubling down on not releasing these files, calling it a hoax and PAST supporters tells me that he is either running from something or covering for someone. Was it a hoax when he ran on releasing the files to help him get elected?

For whatever reason, he’s decided that making it worse for himself is the way to go. The more he calls it a hoax and resists releasing the files, the more pressure he’s going to face. The American public knows there’s unseemly things in those files done by people in the public trust, media, Hollywood. Bad news doesn’t get better with time. Release the files.

i really don't care who is on the list, but also believe that there might be people swept up in the list who really didn't have anything to do with it. But, let it all out now. today.

I agree being on a contact list is not enough, but there are pics and videos. Identify the people in those (which i am sure is done already) and release those names

Serious question. What is the jurisdiction for what happened on his island? Who’s laws apply?
 
Both Republicans and Democrats have had access to this info. There are clearly people on both sides implicated, otherwise one or the other would have more than happily released it by now. Mutually assured destruction.

Not a good look for him, demanding people forget all about it after he pushed full disclosure for years. Bizarre, but nothing he does surprises me. His ego tells him that his supporters will leap to his defense no matter what, and he's right about a lot of them.
