Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said in a letter to Congress earlier Friday that a team of more than 200 Justice Department lawyers scoured the documents in search of survivors' names and other things that needed to be redacted. He said the department is still going through the files and will release more of them on a "rolling basis," though the law required them to be released by Friday.
Blanche's letter also said "additional layers of review" were necessary when reviewing grand jury transcripts. Judges in New York and Florida have given the government permission to release grand jury transcripts from Epstein's and Maxwell's cases, but the judge overseeing the Maxwell case required the top federal prosecutor in Manhattan to "personally certify" that none of the documents contain victims' personal information.
Some of Friday's redactions appear to black out the names of survivors, but it's not clear in every case why information was blacked out. The government is required to give Congress a list of redactions within 15 days.
I've had nerf bars on other trucks but they're only good for getting my pants dirty in the winter.I had to put nerf bars on my truck for Mrs. Fan.
I guess 30 years late works for uMaybe step outside your bubble…
helluva cleanup operation if it took 30 years to complete.I guess 30 years late works for u
That’s what it takes to be a democrat cult follower
Your explanation is laughable. As if there was no other way to redact the grand jury document without redacting all 100+ pages in its entirety.
The DOJ is trying to cover for Trump and you’re trying to cover for the DOJ, and you’re just as inept at it.
Who’s being transparent
You realize that Trump considers you a “bad Republican”? Or at least did until you stopped supporting the release of the files.
ze has zero proof of anything other than what ze voices in zer empty cranium echoes back and forthWait...what?!Your new waffling position now is that Clinton is being transparent??? The Clintons??? OMFG - I'm renewing my annual membership now, this is too ******* rich lmao!
When did I ever support NOT releasing the files? Gonna have to ask you once again to provide evidence of your idiotic claim.
34 people were indicted and some plead guilty, Tim. Your theory is it was about adoption. Your theory about Trump is that when he bragged about sexually assaulting women and going into teenage girls dressing rooms that he was lying. At this point, you can't even repeat my original explanation.
This is your THEORY. Just like you supported the Russia, Russia, Russia theory. You're clutching your pearls and hoping. Because the TDS is real.

By teenage girls you mean 18+ year old adults where nothing bad happened right?34 people were indicted and some plead guilty, Tim. Your theory is it was about adoption. Your theory about Trump is that when he bragged about sexually assaulting women and going into teenage girls dressing rooms that he was lying.
I expect that there is no smoking gun here. No “list” of people who slept with minors, no pictures of them doing it, no video tapes. Epstein and friends would be idiots to collect such things and if they did, surely after he was prosecuted once would have destroyed them. I’m not saying there are no guilty parties, just perhaps none that can be proven. Having been in the presence of Epstein 1 or 100 times doesn’t make someone guilty of child sexual assault, if it did there would be 100s of people convicted.I care less about this with every passing day because we are never going to get the truth. Only what someone wants you to believe is the truth.
It’s sad because this is not a small thing. But when two political parties want nothing more than to play political games with the information they have, who are they serving? Who are they helping? Better yet, who are they protecting? Why does anyone keep voting for them?
If the people holding the info don’t care enough to tell the truth, why should I care about any of it? When an angry parent decides to off a member of congress over that individual’s indifference to the victims, I’ll shrug my shoulders and move along with the same indifference. Well, maybe I’ll pump my fist a little.
So Trump bragged a theory about himself?PROVE he did this. It's a theory.
Yep, this has the grassy knoll written all over it. This isn't a recent event that only involves the Trump administration, this has gone on for decades and covers multiple administrations, and yet nothing comes of it. The victims and honestly is there proof that there actually are any, are now adults and one would think that if they know something that information would be made known in the form of lawsuits against the perpetrators, but again nothing, and all the public is left with is political banter.I expect that there is no smoking gun here. No “list” of people who slept with minors, no pictures of them doing it, no video tapes. On the other hand, the victims presumably know who assaulted them as minors. They are clamoring for transparency but they are the ones who have firsthand knowledge. I’m not blaming them but how can you keep demanding transparency when you hold the most direct knowledge of any criminal activity and refuse to make it known? The argument goes that they don’t want to reveal out of fear of retribution, how is it any different for them if someone else reveals it all? Makes no sense.
