The most intimidating Steelers of all time

Towel Dispenser's everywhere live in fear.

Chris Johnson would think................Lawrence Timmons. Troy even said Timmons had faster closing speed than him and hit like a freight tanker.

Bobbie can't even remember cheatriot players so how the heck is he going to hold to this thread topic...... He's getting further and further out there and it won't be long....................

Salute the nation

Troy was a heat-seeking missile with absolutely no regard for his own body.

I don't know how anybody could say he wasn't intimidating.

We pass said Sheetz store on Rt. 22 in New Alexandria on the way to my in-law's house and I often stop to get a cup of coffee, take a leak, and use the Jeff Reed Memorial Towel Dispenser.
It's kind of in the middle of ******* nowhere so all I can figure is that he was getting a piece of *** out that way or at one of the two seedy strip bars nearby. The Beehive and I forget the name of the other one.

And let's not forget Troy's partner in crime, Ryan Clark.

I was going to post the McGahee hit, but it's really not needed.

I forgot about "Doc" Wallace. Had his limitations, but was all heart (and some nasty).

Again, intimidating, but not like you were scared shitless like hits from Lloyd or Harrison. Those dudes put people to sleep. TP was amazing, no knock on him.

I think the persona has quite a bit to do with it, from an outsider's standpoint.

Troy was humble, quiet, kissing his rosary & praying for God's blessings on the field, while Lloyd & Harrison were snarling and eyeing you down like you were a next assassination target. Don't get me wrong, I think I understand the mental aspect of those guys being on the field and being intimidating.

But I'll be damned sure an opposing player, who saw those flowing locks coming toward them, didn't get scared shitless.

Greg Lloyd and it probably isn't that close. Problem being is that he was legit scary/crazy as proven by his post football life.

I think Greg cleaned that up. But you could tell he definitely had some anger issues. Age has a way of calming the storm....

I was gonna say, he was just as nasty off the field. One of the sportswriters said even the Steelers office staff, secretaries, etc. were afraid of him, he was nasty to all those people too.

Have you ever seen Lloyd and Harrison play?

I sure have. Different mentality getting hit at the LOS than behind the front seven. No doubt Deebo and Lloyd had impact, but Troy and Ryan roaming free in the zones had many receivers thinking Alligator Arms. To say Polamalu didn’t have the same type of impact is ignorant.

But most Pat fans are just that. Ignorant.

Think so? He was charged with pulling a gun on his wife this time last year.

Didn't realize it was only a year ago.I could be wrong here. Greg if you read this straighten it up !

Named my first born son after him. yeeeeesh. Hope you are right. Violence is beautiful on Sunday Football. Not so much in the real world. Hope it doesn't end tragically for him. CTE wouldn't be a real shocker, but I think that was pretty much always the way he was. Its not a light switch for some guys. I played coached with a few guys like that. Some were just animals on the field and could tone that down off the field. Some were what you see is what you got.
